on a similar topic, does anyone think some of those Cinci pitchers, such as Volquez or Cueto, were worked too hard this year?

However, I do think it says something about Dusty Baker that all four of Cincy’s full-time year long starters ended up in the top 27 of BP’s pitcher abuse points list.

Jason Cole is at instructs
He’s got a long post reviewing his day at the LSD insiders forum. Grullon and Thompson looked good. Font, Kyong, Henry and Ocampo got knocked around. The lineup looked like a Spokane team with Beltre, Lemon and Smoak included. Cole said Lemon looked great playing 2b and he had 2 doubles. Cole also said that before every at bat Lemon spells TRON in the dirt beside the batter’s box kinda like Ramon Vazquez does for his grandma.

I think Lidge just needed out of Houston...
No one trusted him anymore and he looks dominant with the Phillies. BTW, that ball Pujols hit off him probably still hasn’t landed.

Don’t get me wrong, that was a good pitch tonight.
But the good hitters (like Manny) could lay off it.
Making Nomar look like a 7 year old girl swinging a stick of licorice up there isn’t so hard anymore. He kind of sucks at baseball these days. Man he went downhill fast.

But they’ve put the ALCS exclusively on TBS this year and I don’t have cable. And I can’t seem to pull up MLB.com tonight for some reason (among other websites, like Fangraphs and ESPN). I’m having to follow along via Yahoo, which really blows.

My dumb ass finally remembered he could pull up the TVants feed
And consequently, he also remembered how shitty a field the Trop is – after watching a game in a beautiful park like Citzens Bank in Philly, this is a comedown of epic porportions. MLB reeeally has to get these Rays a real park to play at. We need to start a nationwide, door-to-door petition or something. Seriously.

Or to be more accurate, that felt like I was watching a Twins game.
Oh well… Kazmir tomorrow. I absolutely love watching him pitch, even when he was mutilating Ranger hitters this year. Hopefully the Rays can come right back and shake this game off – if they go into Fenway down 2-0 it’s over.

I want an LA/Boston series so I can be extremely conflicted. Manny made me a Sox fan, and I’ve found that I can’t just turn that off after he’s been traded.
