My poor, misguided soul always thought that Billy Beane, the GM of the Oakland A's and star of Moneyball, was gay. Until today, when I found at that that was a DIFFERENT Billy Beane. I've been misguided for 'bout three years now. This is the greatest day of my life!!! I hated having a role model that was gay!!! not that I hate gay people of anything...
I always felt insecure telling some of my more close minded Christian friends that my favorite book was Moneyball, because I was scared they would get upset over one of my heroes being gay.

Look, nothing personal “missionmom”… but trying to police the internet is by far a much more annoying and much lamer activity than someone randomly using the word “retard” as a colloquial. Judging by your SB nation user history, it so far seems you’ve created this account exclusively as an attempt to police such random occurrences – but let me advise you, you’re not only just wasting your time, you’re making an ass of yourself and in fact technically trolling with a string of such activity.
I’ll admit dstar’s post isn’t exactly full of particularly great or useful content, but I fail to see how what he said above is offensive or indicates that he has a problem with people who are retarded, or gay. You seriously need to lighten up a little.

Did you ever read the book? While I can understand some intial confusion, it’s impossible to read the book and still confuse him with Billy Bean.
