Anyone else notice "Lone Star Ball - All Jake Peavy Trade Talk, All The Time" on the name bar?
AJM... what's up with that?
I still think that trading Laird to KC for Cortes and Lisson is the way to go, sure we'll have to face him a few times a year - but with a new infield coach, we should be able to field bunts from him pretty clean.
That makes 75 words eh?

I think...
Adam just took some time to learn some new tricks to teach this old dog. Hence the header fun of the past few days and the buzz on each entry.

The Buzz thing
I think that’s new to SBNation. I’m not sure. Anyway, there’s something now that asks me if I want to distribute the post, and if so, the Buzz/Facebook/whatever stuff comes up.

Well...
I’ve certainly been buzzing the hell out of these.
And whatever improves the value ranking of the blog. We’re gunning for you, Sac Town Royalty!

I actually agree with Chase's "-1".... shoot me.
There have been massive (ok, not really) discussions about pitcher scap loading. That link is all about scap-loading in relation to hitting.
Rather than re-hash it all here, I would suggest that you’re better off not knowing unless you’ve got a kid who wants to be a pitcher…
It's filed under 'D'... for donut.

So
if you were not around for this “massive” discussion, you should just forget about it?

Any rumor to that Hill?
or just what you’d want? I’d love to trade Laird for Cortes alone.

Also
I may just be big on Cortes but Cortes>Bowden IMO

Nothing substantial...
just something I’ve been tracking for a few months. I think it’d be a great trade. I don’t believe KC will pick up Olivo’s option and Buck isn’t an every day catcher. IMHO, Laird isn’t either. Everyone around here (it seems) wants a 24-25 year old SP that has stud peripherals and is under team control for 4 more years in any trade and that simply isn’t happening w/o trading away what JD/Thad/AJ have all been working to stock the farm with.
Cortes doesn’t have overly flashy stuff, but he’s a strike thrower and better yet, a pitcher, not a thrower. Lisson looks to profile more or less as a utility guy that can – gasp – play the entire infield and maybe end up a Pat Listach/Ryan Freel type. It’s just a trade I’d like to see. I honestly think you’ll get more for Tea/Salty than Laird, so why not try and get value for the established guy that seems to have worn out his welcome in the organization.
