Rangers re-hire John Blake

PrintMy recollection is that he was one of the people axed by either John Hart or Mike Cramer during one of their periodic purges, and Nolan Ryan, it sounds like, was instrumental in bringing him back.
From Richard Durrett's blog post:
To the average fan, this move may not seem like much. But I can tell you Blake is a good baseball man and a good guy, so it's nice to have him back with the Rangers.
If I'm wrong about Blake being run off by Hart and/or Cramer, hopefully someone will let me know.

That's pretty much it
On his show today he basically said that Hart fired him because he wouldn’t get decent haircut. I would like to expand on it but it was Galloway. There isn’t much to expand on when he says something. Of course he also took that as an opportunity to rail on Daniels and wonder why Nolan hasn’t fired him yet. I really hate only being able to get 2 stations on my radio at work.

bad argument
sure stoops won with a lot of blake’s players, however Heupel and Marshall were Stoops recruits. Quentin Griffin same thing. OU doesn’t win without the first 2 period. And the players Blake did recruit were in the wrong positions.

Morals
Pretty much any OU fan that reads up on things knows that Blake represents himself as a Christian father figure type guy, but he is not. He lies too much for that to be the case. Real shame too.
