Here's some OT news for you guys:
A&M no longer the worst Big XII team. Woot. In your face, ISU. Oh, and the Cowboys defense was greatness yesterday.
That Baylor-A&M showdown
in a couple of weeks, I’m really looking forward to that. A&M looks better right now, but who is the better of the two non-Top 10 Big XII South teams.

we finally have the offense coming around
even without our best running back…but that defense is HORRID. Griffin’s going to put points on the board. I just hope we don’t try to go conservative with the offense, because if we do in any game left, we’re toast.

A&M
seeing what Jerod Johnson has done with this opportunity, I’m pretty excited about his future. However, the fact that Coach Sherman began the season with McGee as the starter makes me uncomfortable with the leadership.
What would you ask Nolan Ryan: "... as a former pitcher, what would you think about having a useless lug standing out there behind you."
Then I'd tell him that useless lug’s name is Michael Young. -- lonestarJesus
It looks to me like
they’ll be able to score points under Sherman. Will they stop anyone any time soon?

in the games that I've seen
The defense looks just about completely void of talent. Serious catching up to do on that side of the ball.

Maybe
One thing I think that is affecting Kines (Def. coordinator) is that this is his first time to coordinate on the college level. The Defense has shown some kind of improvement scheme-wise, but they are still slow and that is not going to change until the coaches get new guys. I think Kines is having trouble adjusting and adapting to 1) the speed of our guys and 2) the limit on the # of hours he can coach them per week. The Defense is pretty much flat-out terrible, but Jerrod Johnson makes me happy.

Shocked
I am shocked that someone could use the phrases " Coach Sherman " and " pretty excited " in the same post. I am thinking that aggy is settling in for a long era of well deserved suckitude. Of course, I see the world through burnt orange glasses and drink the Kool aid until my bladder is full. I’m hoping that Baylor kills aggy so that even the aggy faithful will admit they are doomed to years of pain
aggy faithful
We are really hoping you guys stay undefeated till Thanksgiving, nothing takes the sting out of a crappy season like knocking the whorns out of the championship picture. That game is going to be a tough one for ya.

Confused
Why is a “long era of sucktitude” well-deserved by A&M?

What the hell was I watching the past four years with Fran?
I am the motherfucking shore patrol, motherfucker! I am the motherfucking shore patrol! Give this man a beer.
Fran was here for 5 seasons.
Although much of it is a blur because half a decade of sucktitude was hard enough with more to come. Add on Sherman’s first year and Slocum’s last, and that is already 7 years of sucktitude.
pretty pathetic
that your beloved burnt orange have lost two in a row to such a morose group of individuals. once in Austin, too…only the 3rd home loss in the last 5 years.
I bet that just eats you up inside, doesn’t it…to know that we can do that ? that we can still kick YOU while WE’RE down?

I sure dont like it
and I anxiously look forward to the Thanksgiving night thrashing that aggy will receive. But, no, it doesnt eat at my insides because the other 364 days of the year, even on the years you beat the horns, the cult that is in CS is still a laughingstock what with the milkmen grabbing and squeezing their family jewels on national TV and the other assorted idiocies that regularly occur in the name of tradition.
I can't wait for the WS to end.
I just want baseball news to start up again.
+1
At this point I think I’d like for Cole Hamels to finish things tonight just as much as I’d love to see the Rays pull off a stunning three game comeback. It’s about time to heat that stove up.

Not acceptable
The fact that there is no ranger news out there a day or two a week is unacceptable. Shouldnt the Rangers have VP of making sure the addicts at LSB have something to overanalyze everyday. It’s not right, I tell you, not right!

Here's one
How about, baseball is not meant to be played in below 50 degree, windy, wet sub-Arctic weather. Attending games in parkas and stocking caps is weird. No baseball game scheduled by MLB should ever be played after the 14th of October. Never mind that there are ten of the thirty teams whose October weather is comfortable, it’s the other 20 that have poor conditions past mid-October.

Seriously, if we are going to add playoff rounds, which I’d prefer we didn’t, lets carve a couple weeks out of the regular season.
Back to the 154 game schedule!

Domes
I have a better solution. Every stadium should be required to play in a dome to accomodate the 162 game schedule and the future NBA/NHL-esqe 7 game playoff schedule in every round. This sounds right in line with normal Bud Selig reasoning and rationale. This way we wouldn’t affect the status quo and we would be able to continue our October tradiiton.
If anyone wants one for their reference I could procure a Mini Metrodome replica for demonstative purposes.
Adam Loewen - screwing over the O's
So, Adam Loewen signs a major league deal after he’s drafted in 2002 and is paid $4 mill during his time with the O’s. Problem is, he’s a crappy pitcher. Team and Loewen decide that maybe he can try his hand at being a positional player. But the O’s (understandably) don’t want a guy signed to a major league deal trying to relearn how to hit. So team and Adam agree that the O’s will let Loewen out of his major league deal and then he’ll sign a minor league deal. Everyone goes through with the gentlemen’s agreement. One snafu is the fact that, although Loewen signed a minor league deal, he signed with the Blue Jays.

Nothing pithy here. Please move long.
Sounds like Carlos Boozer

That ought to work out well
for the Blue Jays.

Got more money from the Jays
Balt tried to low ball… Basically admitted to it on one of the blogs…
Born and raised in Canada, always wanted to play for Tor, and then Balt tries to low ball you…
I would go elsewhere too.
Sorry, Baltimore’s choice to give him a MLB deal instead of ponying up the money to get him to sign a minor league deal when he was drafted. Ran out of options, so now they get to deal with the consequences. Should have worked a complete deal out with him before cutting him. Tor would not have talked to him till after he was a FA. If you severed the deal with a new deal in hand, this would never be an issue.
Low ball?
Does the $4m bonus for years of mediocrity and physical frailty count?
