OT -- Isiah

This may be the scuzziest thing ever:

Officers who responded to Isiah Thomas' home after a 911 call reporting an overdose on sleeping pills found a man passed out on the floor and gave him oxygen until an ambulance arrived.

* * *

Thomas has denied being the victim, and Hall again criticized the ex-coach for saying it was his 17-year-old daughter, Lauren, who required treatment.

"As parents, you try to protect your kids; you don't say they did something when it was you who did it," Hall said. "We know the difference between a 47-year-old man and a teenager."

Yep

Read this earlier, still shaking my head. Blame the kid? No, not OK.

Agree 100%

Absolutely shameful that a guy not only would blame his daughter for something like that, but especially in a situation where it is completely obvious that it wasn’t a 17-year-old girl.

the explanation

still doesn’t explain why mike singletary would want to talk to bill walsh. He was never coached by Walsh, was he? They didn’t even run the same type of defense, did they? I guess the connection is Singletary to Billick to Walsh? Anyone know?

hmm

I stand corrected

http://www.mercurynews.com/49ersheadlines/ci_10772195

As a player, Mike Singletary always knew exactly where to go. It was no different when he decided to seek a career on the sidelines.

“Bill Walsh was the first person I called,” he once said.

well that

little piece of greatness just made my night. she had no clue what went wrong.

by clark on Oct 28, 2008 10:12 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

That was the best part about it...

when she stops herself and says “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” and you see Singletary nod his head like ok she caught herself, and then she respondes with “what, what was wrong”. Are you fucking kidding me?

I would love to hear what the producers were yelling at her while she was asking that question.

I agree this is total bush league on the part of Zeke

but the Police Chief sounds like a douchebag, as well. If you’re going to release the incident report to the public so they can see it was Isiah, then release it. But don’t sit there and banter back and forth with him through the media, then hide behind your “policy” to not release those reports. If I were him, I would’ve started faxing copies to every newsroom in The City as soon as I heard Isaiah claiming the issue was with his daughter.
