Value of a Catcher?
It is no secret that the Rangers have catchers on the market this off-season.
It got me to thinking what is the value of a catcher as opposed to the other positions on the field? I think that the catcher and shortstop are the two most important defensive positions, but both are viewed differently for offensive production. Is a catcher just as valuable as a starting pitcher? How would you rate the value of a catcher in today's game? Let's discuss.....

Snooze.
I wish there were a feature for crumpling up a diary and shooting it on a fadeaway into the dumpster.

These topics get beat to death over and over again. Instead of ejaculating a worthless diary, just use the search box and form your own opinion.

if the average position is worth zero runs, here’s how the others rate over a full season, approximately:
CA: +12.5 runs
SS: +7.5 runs
2B/3B/CF: +2.5 runs
LF/RF: -7.5 runs
1B: -12.5 runs
DH: either -17.5 or -22.5, i forget

Does this mean
that a 1B needs to have offensive production 25 runs above a catcher to have equal value?
