Awesome
I had heard about this, so I came here to make sure it was true. Thanks, Adam!

LOL
On that note, think I’ll go mow the yard.

Could you mow mine too?

My sports pants
are flying around the house today.
Tech / KState at 2:30 would generally be suffice but then I get to pull real hard for Colorado to hit UT in the mouth at 6 topped off by my boyhood favorite team, the Dodgers at 9:00 (in great position to win their first post-season series in 20 years!!) going against the Cubs.
Would a white guy in his 40’s look silly wearing a #99 Dodger jersey with matching cap and dread-locks?
This day will be filled with gambling and drinking and cheering and grilling and possibly fuming (if Tech gets beat) and eating and more drinking and more gambling followed by more eating.
I am a Tech fan but I am open to taking KState + 7.5 (just don’t need them to win). I’m also thinking most hard about taking Colorado +12.5, Ohio State -2 and Florida International -6.5.

Tech fan?
Our first commonality.
Although I don’t care about college sports that much.

I think I’ve seen that on here before

I'm not even sure
What that means.
Are you implying that every conservative person would agree with every position you have? Pretty arrogant stuff, Josey.
In any case, you get a big eye roll.

I also watched much of the Tech game
(after watching my beloved Iowa State Cyclones fall flat on their face in the second half against Kansas). I am a big fan of Graham Harrell because I watched him play in high school. Love him.

Kryptonite
Our postseason kryptonite is the Yankees. The Angels have lost 11 straight postseason games to the Red Sox.
If you want to see some bitter reaction from fans of a team that won 100 games in the regular season, and “never really liked Francisco Rodriguez”, check out Halos Heaven. Don’t post anything (because AJM says it makes us look bad, and trolling is not cool).
I don’t like the Red Sox, but I’m hoping the Angels meltdown continues for one more game. I don’t want Teixeira to sign with the Halos in the offseason.

Tex has played quite well for the Angels
this post-season. I root for him to do well. He played his ass off in Texas and never got in trouble.
The only thing he was guilty of was calling the owner out in public. It’s not like he made anything up when he talked about Hicks.
Maybe I’m naive (probably if Boras is his agent) but this may be a time where he stays with the Angels and chooses happiness over cash and doesn’t go to either the Mets or MF Yankees. I have heard that the MLBPA really wants him to hit the open market this off-season.

is that celebrating or tantrum throwing?

Tantrum
it was on the pick-off play in the seventh or eighth inning when it appeared the runner was out and the ump called him safe.

That was tantrum throwing...
…from last night, after K-Rod’s attempted pickoff, where it looked like the ump blew the call by calling him safe.

when i saw that i knew it would be posted on here
that was probably the weirdest tantrum throwing ive ever seen

So
The big summertime mystery with Font was that a close family member died?

No, he died
But Nolan doesn’t coddle pitchers just cause they die. That’s not Texas style. This is Zombie Font. And he’s gonna throw pitches ’till his arm rots and falls off.
