I love Dos Equis
seriously my tolerance for post season baseball grows very short after a decade long dry spell. Bitterness.
I'm actually the opposite.
I’m become more in to MLB relative to the Rangers than I am, say, in the NFL relative to the Cowboys.
So I get up pretty big for the playoffs, whereas I care less in the NFL if the Cowboys aren’t playing. The worse my team is over a stretch the more I start to care about the rest of the league.
I'm that way about MLB too
I really love the MLB playoffs (though the 5 game series in the 1st round piss me off something fierce).
But, man am I having a hard time getting it up for this Milwaukee/Philly series. I don’t know why but I really just don’t care. Like not even a little.

this is the series I care least about. I have at least a mild interest in the other three.

I’ve normally been checking out on the Rangers at midseason these last few years, playoff baseball is the only thing keeping up my interest in the game.

…I still watch; I’m just progressively more pissed off about it. And I always hated K Rod.

I think TBS just kind of sucks, period.
But at least they aren’t deploying Joe Buck.
I have to watch the games on mute once the Buck starts announcing.

And I still kind of do… But is there anything funnier than watching the misery on a Cubs fan’s face this time of year?

I don’t get the sentimentality over him – all the round and round over him has actually given me a certain sense of animosity toward him. It may sound selfish, but I’d like to see him fail just so certain people will shut up about him vs. McCarthy.

I like Danks. Glad to see him win the game today. He saved the White Sox yet again. He’s a good pitcher. It’s sad Jon Daniels and the Rangers thought the Austin, TX boy couldn’t pitch and wasn’t very good.
I don't think JD ever said
he didn’t think Danks could pitch. I just don’t think he (and probably several others in the organization) thought the kid was major-league ready yet. It was a poor decision (at least that’s the verdict so far), but it was almost two years ago. It’s time to move on.

even though he will probably have to have surgery, that seems like the exact kind of dumb FA signing the Yaks will do.

Dumb, not so much. Carl Pavano was dumb. I don’t think anyone doubts the talent Sheets has when he’s healthy. Of course, being the Yankees the financial risk is minimized. So yeah, they probably will sign him.
