He has never even been an average pitcher, I have no idea how he managed to get that contract

……as a Cardinals fan, I can tell you how- Suppan was very solid and steady in his 3 years in STL. He pitched over 185 innings in each of his 3 seasons as a Cardinal, and his ERAs were 4.16, 3.57, and 4.12 Are those great numbers? Not at all. But in the current market, numbers like that get you big big money in free agency.
He hasn’t been terrible as a Brewer, just not what you would hope for from a player making big money.
I will always have a fondness for Suppan. He was a very instrumental part of a team that played in 3 NLCS, 2 World Series, and won 1 World championship. And he was awesome in the 2006 NLCS that the Mets have still yet to recover from!

I mean… wow. At first it was understandable cause I didn’t think they wanted to risk Gallardo, but then they pitched Gallardo anyway after Suppan sucked his way off the field.

During the ASG this year,
I finally went to bed in the 12th or 13th inning or so, ‘cause I had to be up at 0500 the next morning. I tossed and turned and couldn’t sleep, so I finally got up and turned the TV back on just in time for the last RBI and the win.
The moral of the story is, yes, you are correct.
Purely the krod factor for me
If I really had my choice LAA would win so that they’d play again tomorrow. But krod failure trumps all for me.

I mute the games sometimes, turn the sound back on if I’m multitasking so crowd noise will alert me to something exciting.

of him completely wiping out texas in 2007.. i dont know if you saw the game but he made the middle of the order look absolutely terrible over 1 2/3 innings I think it was, noone could even swing on time at his fastball let alone put it in play.
and that vlad hit was just a bouncer up the middle, meh. i hate papelbon but hes very good.

Come on, LSJ. Best of 5 in baseball is just dumbness. It’s just way too small a sample. To play an entire 162 game season and then have it end in three days is just retarded. They should all be best of seven.
Baseball already has the shortest postseason in all of pro sports, adding one or two games to it ain’t gonna make it unbearable or anything. If you really do have a problem with the length of the post season, just cut out all these damn off days they give teams in the early rounds.
