"It was a real exciting year," Holland said. "I love the whole organization. It's a great place to be right now. I'm very pleased with everything that happened this year. I'm just hoping to get my chance to go to big league camp and show I belong." Link to article

Cool article
Though at first I thought getting a “hometown kid made good” article in the Newark Advocate meant he was a dirty New Jersian, but thankfully that’s not the case.
I’d also like to know what this means: “Holland had timed runs where he had to sprint to one foul pole and back in 80 seconds.” Sprint to one and foul pole and back to where? Is he sprinting from foul pole to foul pole? Or from home plate to the foul pole? Or…?
The 40 Trumps All!!!
A "pole"
It is one foul pole to the other foul pole and back, along the fence line. 80 seconds isn’t too bad depending on how big the park is or how many he is running, but it still isn’t lots of fun.
I could do it
in about 10 minutes I think.

Actually
it’s Newark, Ohio not Newark, NJ. Newark, OH is about 40 miles east of Columbus and is a nice-sized town. My wife has family that lives there and I have been there many times. Exciting to know that he is from there because the people of Newark are good people.

Sounds like
he understands the importance of using his legs/lower half, good workout routine described there.

I thought that that that that pic with the article
looked an awful lot like one of the ones I took, too. But no – look at his hair. In their pic he has sideburns and when I saw him his melon was freshly shaved – e.g.> my pic above.
Must be fun slinging a baseball 95 miles an hour
