My favorite moment is Scioscia throwing away their chance at winning game four with a poorly executed squeeze play.

Well to be fair

I’m no fan of the Scioscster, but I doubt it was his idea for his players to execute it poorly.

But that's the point

part of the problem with running a squeeze in such a situation is that it’s hard to execute, everyone has to execute perfectly, and the other team can’t execute perfectly. The upside is that the manager gets all kinds of glory for what a genius he is when it works.

I feel you, Zebra Cakes

I hate small ball as much as the next guy. Managers do best when they sit back and get out of their team’s way.

The amount and frequency of ineffective sac bunt calls this post season is making me CRAZY

I have now seen the Rays and Chi-Sox do it with men on first and no outs to move them over; both times runs failed to score. Last night was another (awesome) example about how the sac bunt is worthless. Ron Washington.

John Lackey isn't happy! Stop the presses!
"We lost to a team that’s not better than us. We are a better team than they are. The last two days, we shouldn’t have given up anything. Sunday night they scored three runs on a pop fly that was called a hit, which was a joke. Monday night they scored on a broken-bat ground ball and a fly ball that anywhere else in America is an out, and he’s fist-pumping on second base like he did something great."

I’m reminded of a Nas song title in reading his complaints…

Torri Hunter said that too

That the Angels have the better team.

One can only hope the brain swelling that has given these guys their massive heads will go down while they sit and watch the world series.

Halos Heaven

Read the post season recap from yesterday. You will note:

-The TV crew was biased
-The umpires blew all calls
-The umpires’ strike zone was biased for the Sox
-But for just a couple of guys not hitting that great, we win that series

So whiny.

It would make an interesting portfolio

Videos of reactions to blown calls. Hilarious!

Oh my God, I’m going to get fired for outbursts like that. Rec, rec, rec, rec, rec.

Out of curiousity, DShepp, what program do you use to build/edit/create gifs? I think that’s my next step in becoming a total, complete dork.
