Last Josh Hamilton book giveaway post
So, thanks to all who participated in the "guess what number I'm thinking of" contest yesterday...
I thought about various numbers that had Rangers meaning, or something else like "42," but feared those would be too obvious.
So I decided to nerd it up and picked "pi to the e."
Which is 22.4591577...
There were a couple or three guesses of pi, which I thought might deserve partial credit.
But in the end, the closest guess was sprite, with "23."
So sprite gets the last free copy of the book. sprite, email me your contact info, and I'll get it out to you.
For everyone else, you can get it at Amazon for $16.31.

Wait...
Didn’t somebody guess Pi in the last thread?
(goes back and checks)
Wes Cox did. That doesn’t count as the closest guess?

Yay. Thanks AJM.
Although to be honest, i guessed 23 because I thought you were watching too many Dr. Pepper commercials. I’m really looking forward to reading the book.
Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. 42-10 to FIU? Come on.
pi to the e?
That’s a bizarre choice. e to the pi makes a lot more mathematical sense. rarely is pi raised to any exponent (though arises in exponents often – e^[i*pi]=-1), and e is usually a base number, not the exponent itself.
(I’ll now return from the ledge of nerdiness, but Adam brought us all there.)
