5 for Hunter?
Really? I expect this to be a Holland blowout, with Hurley getting some love.

If you remove Holland from the list
This would be a LOT more interesting.

Also interesting
If we could’ve had this same poll only 1 year ago to compare against.

I wanna see that poll.
I voted Holland. But without him, I vote Harrison.

Clearly, Holland will be the next Sandy Koufax now.

Harrison
is this supposed to go only on pitching abilities or is dreaminess allowed to factor in?

Hurley
A couple years, 2005, back I saw Hurley pitch lights out in Clinton. The game went 16 innings and featured a couple other guys I wanted to see, Brandon Boggs, Emerson Frostad, Ian Gac.
I’ve been a huge fan ever since. Even though I now have more confidence in the Dutch, I’m still going to vote for Hurley

Harrison is my favorite
For some reason, I just like the guy. I know Holland is more talented, Hurley is the home-grown boy, and Hunter is kind of fun in his way. But I’ve got a really good gut feeling on Harrison.
He’s the only Ranger pitcher who I got kind of excited when I saw he was going to the mound that night.

My favorite is the one least likely to suck
I think we know where my vote went.

Hey Adam...
I found an online comedy series from the mind of the Skylar Brothers (Yes, together they sport but one mind.) that features your favorite auto insurance peddler…though, sans her tricked-out name tag.

Also, interestingly, the guy in the Sonic ads opposite the lady that Evan Grant and Ben have an affinity for is also featured in this “show.”

Hurley's Star...
…has really fallen. You guys sour on pitchers quickly.
by Black Francis on Nov 13, 2008 12:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah...
how dare he actually pitch kind of well in the majors! I think we are spoiled on up-side dreams from Holland and Feliz. However, I would think it is pretty likely that Hurley ends up being a dependable #3/#4 type starter for the Rangers in their play-off push years. He just won’t be slinging it up there at 100 MPH.

This place
is a roller coaster based on very short term results. Wilson was relatively unnoticed, then revered, then reviled all in the last 3 seasons. If Hurley doesn’t pitch hurt in his final start this poll looks a little different.

exactly, t
also it’s odd that some have picked Harrison over Hurley. And Harrison is not the homegrown guy.
It appears a lot of LSB members are giving up on Hurley by picking Harrison as their favorite over Hurley. Maybe it’s just that with the players we got for Teixeira and that their are more than just some that hated Teixeira. With Salty and Elvis Andrus and three pitchers. Neftali Feliz, Matt Harrison and Beau Jones. Matt Harrison is grouped in with all that trade so I guess that’s why you have more Harrison votes. Just a thought.

To reiterate...
This is who is your “favorite,” not who you think is the best or who you think is most valuable or whatever.

Yeah. I get it.
But most of these people haven’t seen Holland pitch, so I don’t understand how this abstract version of him they have in their minds could be their favorite. But that’s cool. Everybody has their opinion.
The other three are really easy to root for, given how they were rushed and everything. I have high hopes for all H’s.

holland
ive seen him pitch and his just as dreamy in person as he is in the tales of lore

I've seen his stats
and scouting reports, and that’s enough to make him my favorite out of that group.

Holland vs Harrison
Out of the group I think I’ve only seen Harrison pitch and it was a gem, but I chose Holland because he accepted my friendship on Facebook and now that means we’re buddies for life.

Harrison's SO
That did it for me. Damn he looked good in that game.
Nothing pithy here. Please move long.

Hunter
he seems to have a big guy kind of charisma. He’s my favorite.
I don't hate everything. In fact, I think LSB is just groovy.

I voted for Harrison, otherwise he would have cried about it...

Okay, I put some time into this
So I hope ya’ll like it:

See the full size version here.
I need to make it into a square instead of a rectangle, so it’ll look better when I post it here but that’ll have to wait till another day.

POTD
I figured Holland would win. however, Im a bit surprised Harrison has more votes than Hurley.
You wouldn’t have to be smarter than a 5th grader to figure out who I voted for as my FAVORITE Ranger “H” pitcher. loves me some Holland but Hurley gets the favorite over Holland. All of us following Hurley all these years shouldn’t even have to explain.
Hopefully, the POTD will become an ongoing staple of talk and interest through out the off season.
I was thinking of a Limerick for this POTD, something witty and humorous. But, after a few glasses of some damn good Scotch. I don’t think I’d be to good at trying to attempt a Limerick right now.
So I came up with this. Now this is not a nursery rhyme like Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. But just think of it like a rhyme of some sort.
