Aaron Crow?
anybody think there's a chance he'll slide to us in the 2009 draft? it's waytoo early on , but his stock has only dropped and he's added a year of maturity which hopefully means he'd reach the big leagues quicker... How sweet would that be? does anybody know if we have a shot at being inside the top 15 picks? So we could sign Sheets and be able to keep the first rounder...
2011 rotation - Sheets / Feliz / Holland / Main / Crow (not in any particular order)
... and a bullpen filled with studs
or if we sign Sheets and we lose the pick... which route do you take? for the sake of argument let's say the pick will be Crow... Do you sign Sheets?
Either Sheets is Crow's best case scenario or in 4-5 years Sheets will be entering his mid 30's or be off the team all together while Crow and the rest of our rotation will be entering their prime, etc..

Yep, only the top 15 teams in the league
Forfeit their selections in the event of selecting a Type A; We just missed that category.
One of the perks of that August implosion

Crow
He could slide to us but it is way to early to even think about it. Wait till he starts Indy ball and then we’ll have a better indication of his draft stock next year.
This is the Texas Rangers, professional destroyers of hope, we're talking about. - BAC
He will only slide
if no one wants to pay him otherwise no way he makes it to us. Scheppers could be there if his health problems are over.
