What are the odds of him starting 2009 in Frisco?

i definitely think he can more than handle it. Alot of those pitchers he’s hitting against were either in Double AA or will be Double AA next year
Better question:
What are the odds of him being in Arlington next year? I know the 40 trumps all and such but we could be having the Davis-Smoak question come up a lot sooner than we expected….

i have a feeling he will hold his own, at least, in Frisco. If he puts up numbers similar to what Teixeira did in Tulsa in ’02, then he could get a September call up, depending on the 40 situation, to see if we can count on him in 2010.

is rather bold however it may not be great. Ill go out on a limb and say he is a lock to make the opening day 2010 roster from what I saw of his swing in college when i got to see him. Book it…

I captured a tiny lizard that was hiding next to my bed yesterday.
I put it in a can of eucalyptus leaves and put it under observation.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia is Back...
Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who ended the 2008 season with an injury, is playing in the Dominican Winter League for the Leones del Escogido. Saltalamacchia played his first game on November 17th as the Designated Hitter, going for 0-for-3 with a walk.

They wouldn’t want to deal one of their young arms unless they were confident he was back. Not that I think anybody was under the impression his injury was career-stunting, but it probably does help to see him on the field.
