I concur.

I had to look it up because I’ve never seen the show, but I concur.

The guy who kind of sucks as a pitcher?

Nolan Ryan is the Greatest Pitcher ever, because Google says so.

Yeah, he screwed up…but those guys were complete assholes to him.

Yeah

that was a good point…

however, he really screwed up when he mentioned he thought about runs created (or something like that) when making his list……

Listening to this a second time, the hosts talk as if Boston is the center of the universe.
  • don’t you watch SportsCenter?
  • how does it make you feel when the rest of the writers vote for Pedroia, and you didn’t?

and the always reliable…

  • It’s not a matter of convincing us… I’m looking for reasoning…

People are usually convinced when they have reasoning.

Agreed,

…and I still don’t get why not striking out is so important to consider in an MVP candidate. Obviously, putting the ball in play is going to show up in his high batting average and OBP and therefore things like OPS…… Thus, Ryan Howard’s .339 OBP. If it can be traced to other stats, why is it so important to look at on its own?

 What am I missing?

EG

he’s trying though…

i know what he’s trying to say, he’s TRYING HIS HARDEST to sound sabermetrically (that a word?) competent , but just failed…

But, yeah, those baahstan guys are morons.

mvp

sure he was wrong for leaving off pedroia but man these guys are asses. “you dont watch enough boston games” do they watch ranger games to vote hamilton??

frankly i dont see pedroia as the mvp, should have been sizemore. these boston guys just cant pull their heads out of their asses long enough to think someone from outside boston could win.

evans biggest mistake with these guys was admitting he was on his mock ballot at one time.

I disagree. Those guys were IDIOTS. They’re basically saying, “Start thinking like we do! Stop thinking like you do!”

by the way

having to have 10 choices is werid. I don’t understand why many do it that way…

Just let a voter chose his mvp choice, just one…and done.

agree

voting for the top10 mvp’s is just stupid. pick 1 and whoever gets the most wins

these guys are jackasses

what the fuck is wrong with grady sizemore being on the ballot? He was a great pick. I can’t believe he has to answer himself to someone who rattled off a bunch of useless counting stats.

struck out only 52 times? who the f cares?

good lord

these guys suck ass. they don’t even understand why pedroia actually won the mvp – because his offense was good FOR HIS POSITION and he had GREAT DEFENSE.

these guys think that pedroia was maybe the best offensive player in the league. complete dumbasses – all three of them.
