New Rangers mailbag up

T.R. Sullivan has a new mailbag column up, that includes some comments about the Rangers' bullpen and catching situations for next season, and the obligatory howler of a trade proposal (this one for Tim Lincecum)...

Some interesting stuff there...check it out...

I think it'll be good

when we make that trade for Lincecum. I might even throw in Drew Meyer as a sweetener.

Meh

I just don’t see how we could trade away Young. How will Nolan ever sell tickets?

Another crazy trade proposal...

that would never happen but…

Rangers send MY, Davis and Feliz to the Giants for Zito and Lincecum. Any takers?

I thought the bit about..

.. ‘void left by Jamey Wright’.. was interesting. Does this settle it, he’s not coming back?

Uhh

I thought the interesting part about that was the “and they’ll need at least one GOOD right-hander to fill the void left by Jamey Wright” Is that insinuating that Jamey Wright was a good right-hander?

Yeah

I almost commented on that, as well…

heh

I was just going to give TR the benefit of the doubt that he wasn’t meaning Wright filled that void when he was here.

Also

What kind of question is “What do you think about names like J.J. Putz and Huston Street?” Should he have replied with “I would never name my kids anything like that”?

Shouldn't we trade hitting for pitching?

not pitching for pitching? I thought that was your mantra

Kennedy scares me...

41% GB this year in the minors or for those who don’t like the % a 0.82 GB/FB….

add to it was has injured the muscles in his shoulder twice that I know of… Might be able to get something better for Millwood..

All I care about

is Ks, BBs, and HRs. GBs are just singles or doubles on this defense.

What about Millwood and Salty for Phil Hughes and Mark Melancon

Dump some salary and get a potential future starter and closer

by CRUSHDAVIS on Nov 3, 2008 7:32 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

i like that.

i’m not familiar with Melancon but just from looking at his stats, i would do that deal

So...

We did the mailbag podcast tonight.

Alas, Cahill’s “hottest doctor on House” question didn’t make the cut.

I really don't think

you have your priorities straight.

I blame you for bringing up the house talk, and then backing away on LSB.

You tease.
