The polls are open, so go ahead and vote in the poll at the bottom and feel free to make any suggestions and/or criticisms in the comments below.

And please don't hesitate to tell me you want on the list for next time.

NOTE: There has been some speculation as to what the criteria are for this vote. Should guys who have spent time in the bigs be involved in "prospect" discussions? For the sake of this exercise we're taking what the guys have done in the big leagues and using the BA prospect formula of 130 AB's or 50 ip. If a guy is under those limits, he's still a prospect and he goes on the poll. It's that simple.

C-Mur for me as well.

The guy’s a beast.

Looking forward to seeing him battering pitchers in the Carolinas next year

Castillo...

Might not even end up top 30…wow. A little combination of ridiculous depth and a disappointing lack of a year I guess.

again

I guess you heard Fat Joe left Atlantic.

by Haeger Champ on Dec 14, 2008 7:47 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

I think more his disappointment, though. To me he was by far the biggest disappointment in the system. Santana and Whittleman had disappointing seasons, but I found his the most so. I guess one thing that could be good is that he really faded as the year went on, so maybe he has to adjust to the full season. His first half line had some good points.

I'm baffled as well

I’m a huge Geuris fan, but even I would wait until after Murphy, Strop, Pimentel, Moreland, and maybe even Arias were on.

Ballot stuffing for G. Grullon.

Yup. Remember last time we had some weird out of the blue ballot stuffing for Renny Osuna of all people.

After getting no votes a couple of times he rose up and almost won one vote all of the sudden and then went back to getting zero votes right after.

It was peculiar.

not cool

After I defended Geuris is the last poll thread (and then changed my avatar picture to be a picture of him) this looks bad. It’s kind of creeping me out, actually, and I feel a bit paranoid of suspicion as a result. But let me just clear my name and swear on my fandom of the Rangers that I am not part of this ballot stuffing nonsense. I wouldn’t even know how to ballot stuff if I wanted to.

Is Grullion’s lead going to be disqualified because of the rather obvious ballot-stuffing here and Strop declared the winner?

I am really skeptical of the Rangers landing Sheets, but with these kinds of things progressing like this the Rangers have to POUNCE.

Went Whittleman

Tons of warts but he’s at AA and the lightbulb might really go off in this age 22 year.

Grullon has control issues and a small sample size in rookie ball, and that’s two years combined. This pick does not make sense unless people are thinking repertoire only (or his wildness-featured K rate).

I’d sooner go Strop, and I’d take Moreland before both of them.
