PrintHappy birthday to Roy Howell, who turns 55 today.
Howell was the Rangers' first round pick in 1972, and was the team's regular third baseman in 1975 and 1976 before being dealt in early 1977 to Toronto in a deal involving fellow LSB birthday Jim Mason.
Howell was a decent major league third baseman for most of his career. Not a 4th overall pick great selection, but a nice player.
