Choice...

what a late season discovery.

by ghostofErikThompson on Dec 20, 2008 7:26 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Normally I dont care that much about watching the defense (though i do of course)

But right now its edge of the seat for D-Ware.

the preceding post was a great success.

by DSheppard on Dec 20, 2008 7:26 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ware.

I know Stephen/Jerry have planned for this, but dude’s about to get PAID.

by LiamP on Dec 20, 2008 7:27 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ware or Merriman now?

That was the big question on draft day.

Miami bound...

by boomer1 on Dec 20, 2008 7:30 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I think that question was answered

the day Merriman tested positive

"Losers assemble in little groups and bitch about the coaches and the system and other players in other little groups. Winners assemble as a team."
- Bill Parcells

by Taylor on Dec 20, 2008 7:31 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I have never thought that question was fair.

And anyone I know who watches the entire NFL agrees: Ware does more things better than Merriman, and it more than makes up for the pass rush difference. I do think Merriman is better at running forward, though.

by Chris Hanes on Dec 20, 2008 8:10 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I don't

Get your point. Nothing was called incorrectly except the fumble. The fumble wouldn’t have been the reason Dallas challenged it because the ball went out of bounds.

by brettgardner on Dec 20, 2008 8:10 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

that is not how challenges work

Understand. But I don’t know what your point is, because nothing about the call other than completion affected the Cowboys.

by brettgardner on Dec 20, 2008 8:12 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

if the cowboys challenge

it should still be considered a win if the result is that the ball was a fumble because even the fumbled ball went out of bounds about 2ft behind where they spotted it.

that should still be a win for the cowboys

I'm

Genuinely curious as to what happens f this offseason. I know Garrett is the guy-in-waiting, but he’s calling some shitty plays, not adjusting very well, and, more than anything, he’s just the guy in charge of this shitty play.

Phillips’ supposed deficiencies have been well-covered.

Romo has looked much more average.

Or do you just say that it was an injury year and laugh it off?

Many of the problems this year were largely known problems that people said “injuries will expose.”

As has been pointed out by multiple people, FO’s projections had the Cowboys about 9-7, partly due to injuries.

The thing that I don't understand...

is why isn’t someone mentoring Romo and getting in his face and telling him to quit throwing the ball up for grabs. Isn’t that Garrett’s job?

I'd love for part of the "new look" to be a return to the red uniforms of the 1990s. - Ian Kinsler

this is why we need a vocal leader on the damn team

were talking about it before the game on nfl network but if ray lewis was out there would anyone have any interest in signing him?

instantly becomes that vocal leader the cowboys need

who plays his position now?

the second interception

it wasn’t “throw it up for grabs”

it was romo not throwing it hard enough. it’s a throw he should be able to make. you can’t fix that with mentoring
