Tex to the Yanks.

Nice. Time for him to share a sauna with A-rod. Where are the Yanks getting this money? Apparently the economy isn't hurting Hank. Wow. I hope for failure. Maybe now the Sox get Salty for a little more offense. Huh? Huh? Ok maybe not. Also Reagins said the Manny isn't going to the Angels. Wonder what they will do.... West looks like it's up for grabs now.

Wow
I’ve never seen such competition to break a story.
"My mother always taught me that if the only thing you have to say is,
‘(Expletive) Dave Samson,’ then don’t say anything at all.
So I’m not going to say anything at all.
Is my mother the greatest or what?"

At least give me the fact
that I actually provided some commentary. Unlike the other two diaries.
"Obama is a Christian - He's always been a Christian...But.........what if he is[a Muslim]? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is no, that's not America." Colin Powell on Obama/Muslim assertions.

Just as I predicted

I've thought....
since Tex came up, that he’d one day be a Yankee. He’s a Boras client, he never really committed to talking about staying in Texas, he yapped on and on about the tradition the Yankees have, he yapped on and on about Don Mattingly being his favorite player, all that stuff. I certainly appreciated what he did while he was here, but I kinda forced myself to never become too attached to him because I knew the day would come when he would no longer wear a Rangers uniform anymore. I just always had that feeling.
That being said, this off-season, I started thinking that he wasn’t going to end up in NY. They hadn’t seemed to show much interest. I hate both the Red Sox and Yankees, because they’re essentially the same thing. More money to spend than other teams, obnoxious bandwagon fans, and all that comes with it. I really didn’t wanna see Tex end up in Boston. And I didn’t want to see him end up back with the Angels. I was hoping he’d end up in Washington, for obvious reasons.
While I’m glad he’s out of the AL West, this has made me hate the Yanks more than ever. I’m disgusted and full of anger towards the Yankees right now.
Also, does anyone know what their 2009 payroll is at as of right now??? Oughtta be interesting to see.
Sorry for the long vent!

BSPN said
Even after signing CC, Burnett, and Tex their 2009 payroll is lower than 2008 because of all the payroll that came off the books this year. I’m too lazy to verify that so take it FWIW.

It's true
I remember posting a couple of months ago that they would be able to sign anyone and everyone they wanted because they had so much coming off the payroll this year. I didn’t quite think they’d get all three of these, though, wow.
