Random poll of the day
So, every time I go to espn.com, some video loads and if I have my speakers on I have to hear some ESPN talking head prattle on until I click pause or off or whatever or turn off the sound.
It is really annoying. And I have a hard time imagining that it really enhances the appeal of their website.
But hey...maybe I'm wrong. Cast your vote and let me know what you think.

Especially when you have music going on Itunes
It like mixes it up, so yeah, pretty annoying. And that Kenny Mayne stuff can just go away for all I care…
And even if I try muting it, every now and then I’ll load up Espn and there it is, just all that noise….

Disable the autoplay
It doesn’t work 100% of the time, but if you have an account on espn.com, click the ‘customize’ button underneath the video on the home page. Uncheck the box that says ‘play videos automatically’ and save your settings. That should help.

But then from a technical standpoint, ESPN is one of my least favorite websites. Ugh.

When I was in college...
…I got busted surfing the Web in class because of it. I left my speakers on, and while my professor is lecturing, all of a sudden you hear, “LEBRON JAMES AND CARMELO…!”
Everyone turned to look at me. I looked at the guy next to me, but it was pretty obvious that it was me. Professor: not pleased.

Wow,
Blogging the Boys is a joke.
They deleted my diary I did last night about Tony Romo and his focusing issues.
This really angers me, there was no reason for them to do that.
I will not support Blogging the Boys anymore, it is a joke site anyways.

I was
just linking a article and talking about Tony Romo’s questionable focus on the games ahead of him.
Including an article where he and Jessica Simpson are actively trying to have a baby at this moment.
Those fucking assholes deleted it.
Doesn’t matter, they are terrible writers and huge homers anyway.

ESPN.com sucks
The only time I’ll go there is if someone links to a story there. Actually, that’s not 100% true. I will read the Ombudsman’s column just to hear about complaints about ESPN and their crappy lip service to fixing things.
Nothing pithy here. Please move long.

I used to read him religiously
But once NBA season starts, I’d wouldn’t read him as much. It seemed that as he wrote about baseball less and less, I read him less and less, and then I guess I quit.
I remember once, a long time ago, I decided to send in a question to one of his chats. It was a Rangers related question and I for some reason thought he would have some insight. I sat and waited for him to answer, which he didn’t. And that’s when I finally figured out “wait a minute, this guy doesn’t know baseball. The only thing he knows is one team.” Yeah – I’m an idiot.
Nothing pithy here. Please move long.

There's just not much there.
I can’t say I think highly of Simmons’ sports knowledge or his writing. What might’ve annoyed me most (back when I actually read his stuff) was his “everyguy” style. Look, you have a master’s degree in journalism from BU, you worked for the Boston Herald, you moved to LA to write for Jimmy Kimmel Live ~ spare me the I’m-just-average-Joe-sports-fan-from-Boston posture. Please.
And now that he’s “famous,” his shtick is simply insufferable.
OK, I’ll stop ranting now, except to conclude:
I believe the writing of Bill Simmons is self-indulgent, overrated crap.

Annoying ESPN
I got to listen to an extended amount of the new Greg Williams show for the first time today. I really can’t believe the guy has a show in the market. I don’t know how he did it but he’s worse than he was on The Ticket. They spent a segment reading a list of stressed out cities which basically amounted to just reading a list of big cities. He then called Buck Showalter a miserable human for running Chuck Morgan out of town even though Chuck left a year before Buck was hired. He also called Buck a liar for some other stuff which may or may not be correct but it’s just funny to hear Greg get on anybody for being a liar after the stuff that happened with The Ticket.
Does anyone listen to his show regularly and actually like it?

It sucks, I hate it
ESPN has a lot of good stuff on their site. A lot more than Yahoo, SI, etc. The only problem is that there’s so much crap there and then you add in the videos and it makes me hate going there. I’ll visit 10 different sites if I need to, as long as its not ESPN.

Why would they want
Ramirez? He’s expensive and aging, doesn’t play defense well and they already have options at DH. If they wanted to go that route they would have just signed Bradley again for less money.
