What are you talking about? This has been a thrilling offseason so far!

Worse than boring...
This has been “Mr. Show” Boring.
"Alright class. Now that I've explained how silly the theory of evloution is, and how it's impossible for a specie to change over time, let's refocus on the Bible. I'd like to direct your attention to Genesis. Okay, now here's how the snake lost his voice..."

Concur...
I enjoy thier little squables.

Which is exactly why
I voted for them.
"I´d like to apologize in advance for anything that I may say or do that could be construed as offensive as I slowly go NUTS."
I voted for them too haha

So...
you’ve enjoyed this offseason?
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
Heh
See below. They didn’t have the option I wanted.
"I´d like to apologize in advance for anything that I may say or do that could be construed as offensive as I slowly go NUTS."
*they = Adam
"I´d like to apologize in advance for anything that I may say or do that could be construed as offensive as I slowly go NUTS."
I-45 boring
But at least you have the world’s largest beef jerky store in between the Dallas and Houston.
Ah, Woody's Smokehouse
Although the Buc-ee’s that is going up in Madisonville is going to put a crimp in their business.

Its been years since I've driven that route
Lets see how I do off the top of my head: Houston, Woodlands, Huntsville, Madisonville, Centersville, Corsicana, Ennis (at which point, I veered towards Fort Worth, going through Waxahachie – boy did I hate those Ennis cops on 287 … always had traps laid out…
Amen
I went for dinner at a chicken and steak roadside shack a little north or Corsicana. Not just Ennis, but Waxahachie squad cars were abundant on the way back to Ft. Worth – around 9:30 pm

Can I substitute
Driving I-20 between Dallas and Shreveport in place of I-45? I drive there often and…lets just say I’m thankful for XM!
"Losers assemble in little groups and bitch about the coaches and the system and other players in other little groups. Winners assemble as a team."
- Bill Parcells
How bout...
I-80 between SLC and Sac. boring.
8 hours of nothing ’til you hit Tahoe.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
Go the other direction on I-80
Towards Wyoming. Granted, I love a lot of parts of Wyoming, but Evanston to Rawlins is terrible (go a bit north and it’s great; Tetons, Wind River Mountains, Big Horn Mountains, Red Desert, etc). Although if you keep going east past Cheyenne, it only gets worse through Nebraska.
Nothing pithy here. Please move long.
This poll needs another option
This offseason has been OC-pessimist-rant boring.
"I´d like to apologize in advance for anything that I may say or do that could be construed as offensive as I slowly go NUTS."
I don't hate MuscleFag. I just think he could use some reservation.
Just like I could use some tolerance.
It's a crazy messed-up world... It's a doggy-dogg world...
by oc on Dec 29, 2008 8:24 PM CST up reply actions
Nothing personal, OC
You could also say this offseason has been LSJ first-half Salty argument boring.
"I´d like to apologize in advance for anything that I may say or do that could be construed as offensive as I slowly go NUTS."
C'mon!
Driving I-45 between Dallas and Houston has all sorts of excitement! There’s Madisonville! and Centerville! And Huntsville!
Not to forget the giant Sam Houston statue!

:) - Obligatory smiley showing I don't mean whatever mean
spiritedness is likely contained in the preceding post
And don't forget
the miles and miles of construction…without any construction workers!

Dont' forget the 'can

Totally
Not sure about the fruitcakes, but the rest of the stuff they have there is delicious. Me and the folks stopped by just a couple of weeks ago on the way to grandparents’ for an early Christmas. My parents declined to share their cookies with the rest of the family, reserving them all for themselves.
Lifetime Channel movie
Longhorn political thesis boring.
___________ awards show boring.
G G G E-flat_______ F F F D__________....
Wow...
all 3 of those would be great choices.
Has Lifetime ever showed anything worth watching?
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates

That sounds better
Fountainhead was much better and not as long.

The sad
thing is that im currently reading The Fountainhead. I like it.
by Michael Cave on Dec 29, 2008 8:42 PM CST up reply actions
That one is okay.
Atlas Shrugged sucked like few things I’ve ever read. Atlas Shrugged and Harlot’s Ghost might be the two most turgid, tedious, wretched books I’ve ever read.
by Adam J. Morris on Dec 29, 2008 8:47 PM CST up reply actions
So you would suggest
stopping with The Fountainhead then?
by Michael Cave on Dec 29, 2008 8:52 PM CST up reply actions
Mason and Dixon
by Pynchon. I tried, and tried, and tried, to finish that book. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
Is it wrong that I instinctively hate anyone who mentions that GR is one of their favorite books?
I had someone do that to me at a party the other night and I just walked the fuck away.

Anyone that says that is a complete fucking poser
You disappoint me. You should have kicked him in his pseudo-literati teeth, then strutted away disgustedly while farting in his general direction.
Either that, or smacked him across his face with some velvet gauntlets…
Nah, noob.
by Brian Thomas on Dec 31, 2008 7:06 PM CST up reply actions
I thought Harlot's Ghost had some interesting parts
It didn’t seem like an 1100 page book, either. He’s definitely written worse.
Nah, noob.

Preschool Christmas Programs Boring?
Maybe things have changed since my kids were in preschool, but the chaos that happens in those programs can be pretty freakin’ hliarious.
Wow
You know it is a slow season when “objectivism” surfaces in the chatter. Gotta go with Ayn Rand level of boring.

Another Czech Stop
If the folks from West, Texas placed one of these right at the midpoint between Dallas and Houston, I know it’d make my drive so much easier.
was going to cast my vote for the
ben/brettgardner comments pissing match
but, I went with Family Guy boring
Simpsons > Family Guy
It's ok when you log in with
one of your other sock puppets you can vote for ben/brett

mizzou just won
in OT 30-23. That was a wild game.
Good win for the Missouri Tigers and the Big 12
yay… big 12 beats the stinking ass big ten.
OK - somewhat in depth
Lions Thanksgiving day game- Yup
ben/brettgardner comments pissing match boring – Great until they get, well, pissy.
Family Guy boring – AJM’s baiting me
“The Fountainhead” – never read it; my attention span is Anthem, which I love.
Non-baseball-related-guest – can be funny and/or insightful. Seriously.
Nothing pithy here. Please move long.
Hanging out with my grandma in Sherman
…in her 82 degree house boring…and miserable.
"This report of my death was an exaggeration"--Mark Twain
Is it Grandma's house you find boring?
Or Sherman?
How could you be bored in Sherman?

Offseason
I think the off-season has been relatively exciting because we’re past Christmas and Daniels has only made one bad trade. And it did not involve trading away young pitching. So even though the Rangers gave away Laird, their pitching staff at least will not be any worse, at least so far. Be thankful for small blessings.
He still has
plenty of time to make some more trades/signings for you to moan about.
Mitch Moreland - Rangers 2009 Minor League Player of the Year
Watchmen boring.
If you’ve read that thing, it is dull to an extreme amount (until the last 10 or so pages, but that doesn’t make up for the other 200 pages of sheer tedium).
Preschoool Christmas Programs Aren't Always Boring
Muschamp seems like the kind of guy who used to beat up guys like Bob Stoops in high school.
