Padres Trade Greene to the Cards
The Padres have dealt Khalil Greene for two relief pitchers from the Cards. It looks like this is a salary dump which, also, may give the Padres the chance to retain the services of Jake Peavy.

As a local of San Diego
this is the best baseball news I’ve heard in a long time. I hate Khalil Greene. He’s perhaps the most painful batter to watch hit.
