I'm sharing with you all my baseball-themed Christmas tree. There are red, white and blue lights; blue and red ornaments and miniature baseballs and bats on the tree. Of course, there is also a Rangers santa hat as the "star" and --- my favorite part --- a baseball tree skirt, WHICH I MADE :-) And I'm going to be adding more stuff to the tree tomorrow. I got a 2008 team set of Rangers baseball cards, so I'll be making collectors everywhere cry when I punch a hole in them tomorrow and hang them on the tree. :-)

P.S. That is my furry baby, Cleo, off to the right.

Nice tree...

My wife would never let me decorate our Xmas tree like that.

Why can’t all women like baseball?

Be careful what you wish for

It sounds great in theory but it becomes a beating after a while when your woman likes sports.

Yep....

My wife and I have about 50 sports ornaments on our tree…….but a majority of them are her Yankees or Derek Jeter related ones….sigh.

Awesome tree, Micah

But must you punch holes in those poor, defenseless baseball cards? :(

Ha ha

Sorry!!!!! I’ll save the Ben Broussard and Brad Wilkerson ones for you if you’d like. I won’t be needing them…

Fiancee has two trees

A normal one and a smaller, sports tree. Lots of baseball ornaments with a bunch of them autographed over the years (anyone from Micheal Young and Kevin Millwood to Todd Greene and Mike Lamb……no I’m not kidding).

She’s also got a bunch of those baseball player figurine ornaments I think Hallmark puts out over the years…Nolan, Jeter, George Brett.

I was “allowed” to put it up this year.

Beautiful Christmas Tree

Hey, where’s my present under the tree :)

everybody leave presents under the tree to all LSB members.

I was thinking

maybe on the baseball tree skirt you could make a Texas Rangers T. Of course it would be covered up after all the presents are under the tree. But, after all the presents are gone the Big T would be there.

I don't have a lot of gifts to put under there, so that might work

I’m also thinking about adding stitches to the baseball. Not sure yet though.

keep us up to date

on the tree. That’s a good idea adding sticthes on the baseball. Looks like quite a bit of sewing for the stiches. How big is the skirt?

I’m sure cleo is all under and around the tree. Looks like cleo needs a red bow next time you take a picture :)

Cleo might smother me in my sleep if I try to put a ribbon on her

The skirt is about four feet wide. And the red seams are simply hot glued on there. I could use the same method for stitching. It probably wouldn’t take me very long.

What a lovely lovely tree Micah..

now all it needs is Tim Lincecum sitting at the base with a big red ribbon on.

Can't I have Chris Davis instead?

*sigh*

Alright, alright…the sacrifices I make for the LSB community.

Besides, he’d probably just snub me again anyway.

Random woman: "When are you getting married, Micah?"
Me: "Probably never. In fact, at this point, it's tempting to just adopt more cats."
