Obscure Former Rangers Trivia

What former Rangers player is the only pitcher in Major League history to appear in all 7 games of a single World Series?

Hint.....he didn't do it while playing for the Rangers.

Okay
I didn't notice the word "single" in your question.  I don't think it's Stanton.

Got it finally
The last letter of his first name matches the first letter of his first name - overall an oddly spelled first name.  Right?

I'll go with....
Jeff Nelson then.  He was in a LOT of world series games but I doubt he ever pitched in 7 of them in the same series.

The answer is.......
Darold Knowles.  He appeared in all 7 games of the 1973 World Series for the A's.  He didn't allow a run and got 2 saves including the decisive game 7.  He played for the Rangers for 1 season in 1977 putting up respectable overall numbers despite the fact that he walked 23 batters and only struck out 14 for the entire year.

Okay
I don't feel bad then. His last season was '80, and I was born in '81, so it's hard for me to remember him:)
