Frisco
I live near the Galleria, so it's a bit more convenient to go see the Roughriders than it is to see the big club. Do any of you go regularly?
What's attendance like? Ticket prices? Hell, is it even worth it?
I've never been to a minor league game, but I imagine for one who loves the game, it's just as good of an experience as the show.

To echo what others have said, Frisco games are well worth the money.

I'd go to a Frisco game any day over a Rangers
the stadium's really nice, you are close to the field, and it's pretty fun to have been able to watch "great" minor leaguers such as Danks, Volquez, Botts, Duran and the likes over the years...then when they make it to the big leagues, you can say you followed them when they were just getting started.

great experience
C = Taylor Teagarden
1b = Chris Davis
SS = Elvis Andrus
RF = Junior Mayberry
DH = Max Ramirez
CF = Craig Gentry
LF = Steve Murphy
2b = Casey Benjamin (Vallejo in August)
3b = Micah Furtado (Whittleman in August)
Rotation: Schlact, Ballard, Batista... Thomas Diamond in June (probably), and then later this summer Omar Poveda and maybe Kasey Kiker

I agree...
I'm not sure about gate prices, but I don't think they can be that expensive...probably around $20. I can tell you that I have founders club seats which are the first 12 rows behind home plate and they average about $35 per game which includes food/alcohol (if you drink beer/wine) and parking. That's a lot cheaper than the Rangers!
The only real gripe I have is that Frisco games are geared towards "entertainment" rather than baseball so you have a lot of between game "activities", dancers/mascot on the dugout etc. And Duece (the mascot) loves to be on the dugout and walk around on chairs during the game which may block your view.
As for the baseball itself, as others have speculated, it should be a pretty good team this season.

Same feelings I have towards the games there. I had "teddy section" tickets behind home plate last season.
Great seats and great place to watch a game but they design it too much for family entertainment, almost like the baseball is an afterthought.
it's a great deal though, like the teddy plan you get 8 games (1 is the ranger game) and it comes with food and drink all game for $18 each per game. I just cant decide if i want to get the package again or not this year.

games are great. I just moved two minutes away from the park and plan on attending quite a few.

DaHeelz and I used to have a season game plan ticket package for the first two seasons. We've been to several games since then on a one to one basis and it's a lot of fun and yes pretty cheap. My only problem with that place is the fact that you can't take anything at all into the stadium (food/drink wise) except for a clear empty plastic bottle. For someone that has a 2 year old daughter it's hard, because she's not going to eat the food in there or not very much of it so it's a waste of money for the wife and I.

A fun time
I usually go to a couple games with either a school or scout group per year. I would love to go more often but I am the only one in my family that appreciates baseball. Prices are resonable. Players give autographs after the game and seating is good. Watch out for foul balls.

i live in austin (round rock is very close)
and as yall all know the astro's AAA team is here. i love going to there games. i probably go to about 15 a year and even though its not a team i support you still get to see alot of good baseball.
plus since i started going my the games my knowledge of the minor leagues and overall apprectiation of the game has increased.
plus san antonio is about an hour's drive and they have a AA team affiliated with the padres, that ill go to two or three games during the summer
honestly i kinda find minor league games more enjoyable than major league games in alot of ways, its cheaper, you can sit where ever you want. before games you can get much closer to the players, and its just a very relaxed atmosphere.
touchdown... touchdown... and st.micheals takes the lead.
