That was pretty sick

My favorite thing of all last second shots is to watch reactions of both fans I just love that.

One brought from the brink of defeat all the way to the joy of victory.

The other receives a ruthless dagger to the heart and is left in sorrow and despair.

That was harsh.

He had 3 guys in his face, was almost out of bounds, and hadn't hit a three yet.

12-5 upsets

There's always one... this is the one I picked this year... hopefully Clemson keeps it up for the ACC as Miami-FL hurt me a little this morning.

Davidson

anybody else see that Curry kid for Davidson light it up? 40 pts total, 30 in the second half alone. Basically single handedly beat Gonzaga.

Yeah. His dad is Dell Curry.

Last year, as a freshman, Curry put up 30 in Davidson's first round loss.

So what you're saying is

he steps up at crunch time?

Uh Oh...

Who had San Diego over UConn?

Not a huge lead, but UConn has played in good and bad stretches this year, so there's a track record of them not really playing up to their reputation.

damn.

The Uconn loss busted a little bit of my bracket. First loss to really hurt me.

I'm bummed...

Only the 2nd day and I have already lost 2 Sweet Sixteen Teams. :-( Most everyone has NC and UCLA in the final so I don't see a lot of opportunity to move out of the basement. :-(

If it makes you feel better...

I was just bragging about how well I did yesterday (tied for 2nd) only to see most of my picks today have failed miserably.

Also...

I call shenanigans on Escher. He created the group, he leads the group...hmm.

He's an insider!

My brackets =

busted. I had Vandy and Georgia in the Sweet 16, and Drake in the Elite 8.

Shows how much I know.

You can lose a few Sweet 16Usually teams....

It's the Elite 8 teams you don't want to lose in Round 1. Usually first and second round are weighted so low that it doesn't matter all that much picking hose rounds right.

Still

a good run by UTA, hopefully this becomes a regular invite yearly for them.

By the way

Did anybody else catch that moment in the first quarter last night when Memphis subbed out their ENTIRE team against UTA? Cocky bastards.

by brettgardner on Mar 22, 2008 9:55 PM CDT reply actions

the did that

in their conference tournament as well. I am not sure how it was against but I think it was in the semifinals at least. Crazy.

Sound Quality

Is everyone else's sound quality very poor on CBS? The voices are fine but any other sound (horn for subbing players) or music (during all commercials) sounds like my TV is running out of batteries or something.

UCLA vs. A&M

is turning out to be a good game.

How do

you think he will do in the NBA?

Milton Bradley for MVP

by miles on Mar 22, 2008 10:56 PM CDT up reply actions

He will be

good and has a shot to be really good. He has the inside game and can shoot the three. Also a decent free throw shooter and more athletic than most white guys.

The most underrated thing about Love is his outlet passes. He outlet passes are better than any big guy I have seen. The only problem is his defense.

There was no need

for Westbrook to dunk that ball.

Points Wise...

No, there wasn't a need. But we're talking about a college kid that just got a steal in a very intense game and a nice comeback, of course he's going to dunk it.

I saw no problem with it.

Why?

He's not a professional.

by brettgardner on Mar 22, 2008 11:34 PM CDT up reply actions

Guess you are right

but I didn't really see the point in him dunking the ball.
