Swap Bradley and Blalock
And put in Laird instead of Melhuse, and that's about what our regular lineup should look like for the first half this year.
So
is Milton in RF on Opening Day?
"LBrooks passes away... after the 'miracle' Rangers of '08 win the AL West." -slc ranger
We'll see
This is only his first time in the field this spring. We'll see how many innings he even winds up playing.
I just hope the Rangers aren't rushing Milton.
Weird
why dose it say in the DMN sports section that the game is on KRLD? I tuned in and sports central on.
"Texas Rangers 2012 World Series Champs!"- ME.
Game
is televised on Seattle's FoxSports channel. So if you have direct, you can watch this game.
The Texas Rangers rounded the bases at a dizzying pace
Hamilton a late scratch because of a cold
I guess all that crack really did mess up his immune system.
nice catch Milty
I hereby ordain you Benny Brou Ha Ha<-----Wash thinks you can hit lefties....in 2 months time you will be a full fledged Brouhaha..trust me on that one.
These Seattle announcers are pretty subdued
especially compared to Grieve and Lewin.

NOW he makes the good catches.

Stumbled on the way
Should have been out, but the throw short-hopped Beltre and he couldn't get the tag down.
Can I get...
...whatever from Mr. Muhammad?
Quick, name that group...

You know...
I find it somehow fitting that, currently, the most common tag on LSB 2.0 is "Jason Botts."
Ok
I haven't seen anyone post this. Why did fukumori start?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXWLfIgc0nA
Milwood
They didn't want Millwood starting tonight since he is facing them on Opening Day so he started a minor league game earlier in the day.
Millwood
Anybody know how he did today?

During the Cubs broadcast yesterday
Ron Santo mentioned that the bug was really going around the Cactus League. FWIW
Sorry
This preview thing doesn't cut down on spelling mistakes as much as I thought.
Here, some elaboration:
Sarcasm aside
Yes it is out of the question to consider Fukumori as a starter. If I remember correctly, he was strictly a releiver in Japan, and with his past arm issues, converting him is not a good idea.
Didnt even think this game was on the radio
and its on sopcast and the radio... oops.
hope i didnt miss anything too great.

Evan Grant has a new newsletter up
It's pretty good. His opening talks about Mendoza and Hurley in a positive light.
German makes the team.
frankfrankkkkk sent to the minors, according to TR's blog.

As I recall...
Will Carroll said that some pitches take longer to get a feel for after TJ than others. The splitter is one of those, apparently. I think he said it can take 2 years or more for a pitcher to regain the feel for it.
"I know you're a bit dense but no, it doesn't. Obviously lying isn't a problem for me."
poor Kam Loe..
Angel is VERY depressed!
I hereby ordain you Benny Brou Ha Ha<-----Wash thinks you can hit lefties....in 2 months time you will be a full fledged Brouhaha..trust me on that one.
Also worth noting
That Bedard has given up 7 long balls.
I read that the dry air has been giving guys trouble getting a good grip and could cause a sinker baller like Loe to not get as good of movement on the ball
Not any excuse for it just giving a little info
California League
Rick Adair made a similar claim about the prevalent atmospherics in the Cal League - hard on pitchers who rely on movement and spin. FWIW
well isn't whiffy toolsy ..
all of a sudden with that stolen base.

I think...
elephants run pretty fast, actually. Like 25 mph or something. Plus they could stomp on whoever was covering the bag. So there are a lot of people that couldn't throw out elephants.

It's funny...
Before those two walks, the Seattle cronies where talking about how good Bautista was pitching...
I'm in CA
But I'm only here for another hour and a half - the season finale of "Jericho" comes on at 10 out here. Hopefully, this game will wrap up by then.
Man
That's gotta suck for him, knowing he's done here and having to get out there anyway.

Cruz in RF for Bradley
Did Milton strain anything running out the triple? All I have to go by is the MLB box.

No, don't think so
This was Milton's his first time playing in the field this spring - he wasn't gonna go the entire game.
Gathright clip
that was pretty nifty.
for those not watching, pitcher trying to tag him out on the 1b line and he jumped over him.
it was funny hearing the same excuses used...
when he was here. Just give him a chance to be healthy.
SHOCKING!

No Suprise
but BGL is now officially the closer.
Not a stunner, but manager Ron Washington admitted for the first time that Wilson is the guy. Wilson wasn't surprised, but is glad that it's out and he can focus on the season.

I love sopcast
I used it some last year but it seemed like once we got into about May it was hard to find any Rangers games on there... Hopefully that changes this year.
by a bebop a rebop on Mar 25, 2008 11:22 PM CDT reply actions
OT
I've been using sopcast since college to watch mavs games from class. Nowadays, I use it to catch UFC events if I don't have a friend who's buying it or to watch EPL games that aren't on FSC. It's magic.
Hank
Lets say Hank stay healthy and rips it up, goes on a solid 300/30/100 pace leading up to the deadline.
Would you trade em or try to keep em long term?
He is a Boras guy now...
by Baseball North on Mar 25, 2008 11:44 PM CDT reply actions
Not sure if this is my reason or emotion talking
but I'd want to keep him if we could work out a reasonable deal (ie not an overpay like the Young contract). He seems like the kind of guy we would want to build around for when the younger talent starts to come up in the next couple of years, plus we really don't have any 3b prospects in the minors.

He kinda tanked
after that futures appearance. What does he project to be? all-star esque or average?
by Baseball North on Mar 25, 2008 11:53 PM CDT up reply actions
true dat
Overlooked him. But he's no sure-fire prospect, obviously.
by a bebop a rebop on Mar 25, 2008 11:57 PM CDT up reply actions
Depends upon what we trade him for
If it's for a younger 3B, like Andy LaRoche, I'd trade him in a heartbeat. But if we can't replace him, we should probably keep him, unless we're getting some kind of ace pitcher in return.
There isn't much coming up on the corners
JD focused mainly on loading up the middle of the field in the draft and his trades.
It's not like Hank's regressed hard, aside from those two years.
LaRoche might be gettable since LA's lacking hard at 3rd. But isn't LaRouche a top 20 prospect in baseball?
by Baseball North on Mar 25, 2008 11:50 PM CDT reply actions
Yeah, but LA's waffled a lot on him
One minute, they're really high on him as a prospect, the next they're thinking they're in win-now mode and don't want his growing pains.
There was rumor of a Blalock/LaRache deal in the winter meetings, so LA does like Hank.
If LA is in the race come July
and Hank's having a solid season, they might be willing to move LaRoche. But there's still the chance that he breaks out this year.
Even with AJones, LA's O still has many question marks. Loney and Kemp might have the so called sophmore Jinx

What Joy
Listening to Nadel, trying not to doze off, as I lay in bed in the dark. Perfection.
BTW, think Rupaloop made the team last night? I kinda do.
...it's the weekend, so why the hell not?
