Kam Loe sent down

T.R. Sullivan reports that Kam Loe, who has really struggled this spring, has been optioned to AAA.

Sullivan says that Robinson Tejeda, Josh Rupe, and Wes Littleton are vying for the final two bullpen slots.

Rupe

has to get one. So that leaves Littleton and Tejeda. Tejeda has no options, he'll get it.

has to?

i'm not so sure it won't be littleton and tejeda above rupe.

rupe is out of options? Right?

If he's out of options that means Texas will either trade him or keep him if the choice is between him and littleton, whom I know still has options. They won't just jettison a pitcher if they don't have too.

No

He still has one left I believe due to spending the entire year on the DL.

Kam Loe's

future going to stay in relief in OK or is it straight relief? I can't imagine how it would feel to go from a sure spot in the rotation a couple of years ago, to riding the OK bus and waiting for an opportunity to come in from the bull pen. But I do like the fact that the pitchers have to earn it on the mound... unless you don't have any options left.

Kam Loe has repeatedly said the starting is his goal. I think he's going to have to find another team

if he wants to be considered a starter.

Too bad Loe and Laird couldn't be packaged too Cinci.

If Loe was smart

He would look at Jamey Wright and try and become that. Wright is a guy who throws similar stuff as Kam and tried to stay as starter. But his best numbers have clearly come in relief. I personally think Kams stuff is good enough to get him a setup mans job if he gets his consistancy down. But he will have a much longer career if he focusses and realizes he isn't a starter than trying to stay as a starter.

I don't think

any major league pitcher should strive to become Jamey Wright.

Blue Glove

So does this mean BGL is looking for roommate? Where can I apply? I don't have a snake but I could shave my head if necessary.

Im gonna go out on a limb here

And say BGL can afford a place of his own just fine.

Jorge De La Rosa anyone?

He was just cut loose by the Royals. If he could be had on a minor league deal, I would nab him.

Jorge De Larosa's career #'s

5.85 ERA, 1.741 WHIP, ERA+ 78. 159 BB/196 K's.

I'll pass.

Rupe and Tejeda

interest me. Tejeda if he can harness the energy Frankie Fran used a few years ago, if he throws strikes, could be a VERY good option for us out of the pen. Rupe, to me, has the biggest upside of any of the current relievers not named CJ Wilson - I don't know what it is, that's just the way I personally feel.

I want Littleton to start dominating AAA again before he comes back up...and I mean to the tune of sub-2.00 ERA dominating. And I would love for nothing better than Kam Loe to turn into Jack Benny down the line...
