Interesting lineup
If you're going to go with 8, skip the pitcher. Just a thought.
What happened to my old signature?
I knew Wash was a little shaky.....
on the line-up card but, damn, playing with eight?
Josh in RF?
do they just want to get Byrd a little time in CF before the season starts?

I don't see any reason
to get Hammy some time in RF. If he is in the lineup, he should be in CF. We don't have a better defensive CF.

Versatility
It allows Murphy more playing time. Murphy doesn't have the arm for RF so playing Hamilton there occasionally will allow Murphy to play CF on those nights. I don't really see any harm in it.
I think...
...there is some thought of putting Hamilton in a COF slot from time to time to ease the wear and tear on him...

Good Gawd
This is baseball. 162 games. I wonder if the old school managers were worrying if their bad ass needed rest? I doubt coaches heard "I need a day off coach" very often and I doubt they gave a shit when they did.
I wish I could go to work 200 days a year.

It's called maximum production..
if that means giving a guy rest so he plays better in the games he's in or decreases the chance that he gets hurt, then you do it.
Despite only playing half the year, most of these guys are working their ass off year round.

Quiroz catches on with the Orioles.
Rotoworld:
The Orioles said they'll reassign Chris Heintz later this week and go with Guillermo Quiroz as their backup catcher.
It's possible Quiroz will function as Adam Loewen's personal catcher, with Ramon Hernandez playing the rest of the time.
Funnier name
Callix Crabbe or Yefri Carajal?

So....
Littleton or Tejeda? Where do you stand?
I prefer Littleton. Rangers will lose Tejeda for sure in that case. I wouldn't consider that a big loss with some of the guys at AA that could move up over the course of the season.
Tejada
See if he can learn some control for just an inning, and if not let him go. Littleton has an option and there it isn't like he is blowing people away at the moment.
Benoit is the example of what everyone hopes Tejeda can be.
It's probably wiser to keep both Littleton and Tejeda. Neither has pitched well this spring. I just don't feel like being wise right now. I'd go on track record, which favors Littleton.
i prefer littleton, but would give tejeda the spot
littleton has struggled in spring so its not exactly a huge disservice to leave im off to see what tejeda can do with one last chance.
im sure there will be a combination of circumstances that would get littleton up within 2 months.
