Opening Day not on Network TV

I can't believe that Mondays game in Seattle wont be shown on KDFI or FOX, I guess they want me to go to the bar.

Name me...

an opening day game that's on network TV anywhere.

ESPN is showing like 5 different games that day. I don't think any games are on network this year.

Actually...

Most of not all of the teams with games on ESPN also have either a local over-the-air affiliate or regional cable network broadcasting the game as well.

For example, the Yankees game will be on ESPN, but fans can also see it locally on YES. The Padres can be seen on their local channel 4, while their opponent the Astros are broadcasting on FSN.

This is just like how Mavs games are usually available locally on channel 21 when the game is a national game broadcast on TNT.

Still...

most everyone's alternate method of showing the game is some form of a cable channel and since the original message was about the lack of the game on a network channel, that's what I was responding to.

It isn't network TV either, I don't think.

But you can get it with rabbit ears

I did before we moved and got FIOS.

KDFI

is OTA (Over the Air) not one of the big networks that go over the air. I'm pretty sure that's right, but someone can correct me if that's wrong.

I don't have FSSW either, so I'm kindof bummed. I think I'm going to have to upgrade my cable for the baseball season.

Wait 'til the year after next

You are correct

And with the 22nd overall selection the Dallas Cowboys select Jonathan Stewart.
