Best/Worst MLB announcers

These can be regional networks or nationals.

WORST = Hawk Harrelson/Darrin Jackson. There's so much I dislike. The fact that Darrin joins in on the "yyyesss" calls, etc. I'm sure they're fine for the hometown fans, but they're unbearable for the rest of us. I actually won't watch a Rangers game if these guys are doing the game.

Tim McCarver is a close 2nd.

Rex Hudler - not sure if he's still doing games, but he was a fantastically annoying. There's also an old Seattle announcer who mixes things up constantly (he's not that annoying - in fact, he's kind of entertaining).

BEST = Vin Scully, and it's not even close. I do like Jon Miller, both on ESPN but more for his radio work for SF.

Most people hate the BoSox TV announcers, but I find them entertaining when they start giggling like girls about something. They're both OK.

I suppose this diary might be more for people with either the ExtraInnings TV package or MLB.com's audio package. But I suspect more than a few have either (or both).
