SEA loses 7-0
Rangers out of last place. For now.

Edwin Jackson
Somebody was talking about him on here, that he'd be a nice trade target in a Byrd deal.
He's making them look pretty smart through two starts...

Hah
wait until you see the 9-ER-in-one-inning Edwin Jackson. This version rears its ugly head most commonly after a great EJack outing.
There is no such thing as global warming. David Murphy was cold, so he turned the sun up.

Game 1 Lineup

3B Hank Blalock
LF Frank Catalanotto
RF David Murphy
C Gerald Laird
1B Ben Broussard
this line up sucks

Isn't this more or less what we've trotted out there all year? How would you change it?

Murphy should be in front of Crapalanotto
That way, you break up two lefties that can't hit LHP with a lefty that can at least hold his own against LHP.
Other than that, though, I don't see any problems with that lineup.

I would guess that Cat
is in that spot because he's the one guy that Wash would definitely pinch-hit for against a LOOGY

True, he hasn't hesitated to do that in the past...
Even when Cat was going for the cycle. But based on how the two have performed lately, Murphy should be in front of Cat irregardless.

I know why
Salty is in AAA and understand it...to a point, but man it does let me down everytime I look at a line-up and stare at Laird's Private Pyle gob when I could be looking at Salty

When you should be looking at Salty you mean
He drove in both Redhawks runs yesterday, and also picked a runner off second base.

TV?
So, what have we determined re: TV for today's games? I know last night was supposed to be on FSSW and today was supposed to be channel 27. I'm in Austin and usually we get the 27 games on 667 for DTV. Tonight's game is still showing up on my guide as on 667, but what of this afternoon's game?
by TexasTiger on Apr 10, 2008 3:47 PM CDT 0 recs
I'm pretty sure it's on FSN
but there's no pre-game on either channel.
