Also, Ian Kinsler should have busted his ass
and got over to cover 1st. But, of course he's worse than Soriano when it comes to smarts.

An encouraging thought
I dont know how long we can hover around .500
But if we can stay around .500 with this bad of a team, it bodes well for the future when we can replace most of these DFA scrubs

Good job Eckstein
What a play by Eckstein.
I agree with you on that Adam, Bradley needs to learn to run it out all the time. Maybe we can combine Bradley and Byrd to get one great COF.
by Gdawg1 on Apr 11, 2008 9:39 PM CDT 0 recs
That ball
would have been caught 96 percent of the time...
You expect him to fully run that out?
Because I don't blame him for expecting that to be caught.

his leg has been fine
in many other games this season. He's run at full speed without any issues. The tore ACL should not be a reason for him not running at least near full speed.
miles, you fully run it out for the 4% of the time it isn't caught.

He can still be hurt, but its no excuse to not still run on each play instead of just doing a little jog.

Running on that play
It's not like he needed to run full speed to get to 2nd. It's also the responsibility of the 1st base coach to get him moving.
Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Not Milton,
he does what he wants when he wants.
But seriously, most players wouldn't have run that out.

I guarantee you
Hamilton runs that one out full speed like he did to beat out a sure thing double play. Byrd runs out routine grounders every time he gets your average groundout to the MI. I've never seen Kinsler, Young, Blalock, Laird, or Murphy at least not running near full speed on any play. Bradley does a little jog each time.
