why is Bradley sitting out? just a normal day off?

So who replaces Bradley?
I know it's most likely Crapalanotto, but it would be nice if Botts could get some AB's...

Hey, it fits him like a glove
He's a worthless defender, with a platoon offense, who should have never been signed in the first place.
I dearly wish we could trade or DFA him.

but he should have to force wash to play him at this point, not be given starts. If hes not hitting any better than botts, might as well play the younger guy.

mendoza tonight
I'm skeptical about his long term viability as a ML starter, but I sure would like to see something tonight that makes me think of him differently.
I'll be watching his command and his stuff real closely.

a positive note
I was also real skeptical about Chris Young when he first came up after having a long run of minor league blah, then a short run of real good success. Maybe the Rangers can have that same type of "out-of-nowhere" success in developing Mendoza. The rotation could sure use a solid 4/5 starter, both this year and in the near future.

That makes no sense.

why would they do this?
is playing RF that much less of a strain than playing center? seems like they should just switch places when ron isn't looking

hambone in right
not sure I see the point of that. I know it is a little less strenuous than CF, but if he is playing the field, he really helps a lot more in CF. I'd play him in center or dh him, don't see much benefit to playing him in RF.

Hamilton
Well think about it. Playing CF means any ball hit in the outfield you are going for whether to make a play or backup. Playing RF probably doesn't make that big a difference but if it gives us an extra 5 games over the course of the year its cool with me. Plus his arm in RF will pretty much stop runners trying to take an extra base or score on sac flies

can anyone help me with the details of this Quagmire joke from Family Guy?
The setup was that Quagmire was telling some very dirty story and for some reason we could only hear fragments of the story. As the story was told we would hear a bunch of random words that would be part of the story, stuff like "maple syrup", "space shuttle", etc.
Does anyone know which episode this is from? Or what some of the words were so I can find it online? Thanks!!!

Police Blotter: Flaming recliner nets man criminal mischief charge
08:32 AM CDT on Saturday, April 12, 2008
By Donna Fielder/Staff Writer
A Denton police officer reÂsponding to a reported fire in the 400 block of Woodland Street found a recliner burning in the front yard about 2:17 a.m. FriÂday.
Another officer radioed that he arrested the resident a day earlier and that the man he arrested threatened to burn his former girlÂfriend’s furniture, left at the house.
Arriving officers knocked on the door of the house but got no answer. They finally convinced the resident to come out.
He explained that he and his girlfriend had broken up. They often had sex on the recliner, he said, so he poured charcoal lightÂer on it and set it ablaze to burn out old memories.
The fire marshal found the girlfriend, who said the chair beÂlonged to her and she wanted to press charges.
The man was charged with criminal mischief.

harkening back to the julius jones draft
thinking that none of the RB's were good enough to warrant a 1st Round pick and electing to trade down and pick RB in the second.
not sure how that isn't exactly what Longhorn is suggesting...

well
Kevin Jones sucks and i've herad from several Rams fans that Steven Jackson rarely plays hard on every play and is always hurt. JJ was good and he'll have a great year in Seattle IMO. Not sure why you always go back to that draft. That was one draft. Not every draft is the same

i don't get what is so bad about what i said
i don't even necessarily think it was the wrong call at this point.
but if the cowboys don't take RB this year, it will be very similar to that draft where they were expected to take a RB but, going against the grain, decided that the RB's projected in the first round aren't as good as everyone thinks they are.

OT: MLB Strike Zone
Anyone else have the Direct TV MLB package? That strike zone channel is freaking awesome. They do a great job of switching back and forth to interesting situations and breaking in for quick highlights. Just saw Ichiro gun down the ridiculously slow Kotchman at the plate.
It's a great distraction on nights when the Rangers decide they have a burning desire to suck at defense and piss me off.
