BS...
...you don't blame the umpire when the entire team sucks balls when runners are in scoring position.

Botts
won't see another AB for awhile.

Eckstein
Got that pitch called a ball for him. Must have been all his grit clouding the ump's vision.
by rcreative on Apr 13, 2008 5:05 PM CDT 0 recs
Should have stuck with benoit for another inning
imo.

I could go for a hammy walk off.
But now Im scared for the 10th. Who on earth are we going to use?

if we have a walk off in the 9th
we won't need another pitcher...

Well, i know that....
All I meant was that I would of course like a walkoff, but its still like 65% chance we see a 10th.
that is if CJ can get out of this inning.

want to have him pitch 2 for some reason

Botts appears to need regular at bats to get into a groove
but he is never going to get regular at bats if he keeps hitting like crap in his limited opportunities. As much as I am a fan of his and want him to succeed, I just can't see him doing it.

This might be a dumb time
to bring this up, considering how good our starting pitching has been, and how well Chris-John is doing in the 'pen, but I still think it's a huge waste of talent not letting CJ start.

Let's say
CJ is shifted to the rotation. Would you shift Jack to the closer role and Rupe to set up man?

Yes.
One of those two should be stretched out -- BGL with a higher ceiling obviously.

Jack to closer, yes
Not sure on setup. Guardado, Rupe, German... you go with whoever earns it.

CJ gets the strike
and then throws up his arms... I think he was saying "that was the same damn pitch that was a ball before"

he's just douchey...
...when he's winning, he's all smiles...
when he's losing, he slams his clubs, and yells out loud...
just so he can let everybody know his frustration... almost unprofessional.

I wanna see the 'electronic strikezone'
on the screen for every pitch from here on out. I've seen strange zones, but there's no telling where he thinks these pitches are...

Is there a reason...
they don't just have that in the bottom corner during the pitches to track it?

too much stuff on the screen as it is
but when there are as many close calls as this, I'd like to see them use it more often... even thought it isn't "official", it gives you a better idea of where the ump is seeing the pitches... and you can see how consistent or inconsitent an ump is
