Same pitch...

He called on Laird as a ball.

BS...

...you don't blame the umpire when the entire team sucks balls when runners are in scoring position.

won't see another AB for awhile.

Eckstein

Got that pitch called a ball for him. Must have been all his grit clouding the ump's vision.

by rcreative on Apr 13, 2008 5:05 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Nah...

Cause we're going to win next inning.

I could go for a hammy walk off.

But now Im scared for the 10th. Who on earth are we going to use?

we won't need another pitcher...

Well, i know that....

All I meant was that I would of course like a walkoff, but its still like 65% chance we see a 10th.

that is if CJ can get out of this inning.

want to have him pitch 2 for some reason

Botts appears to need regular at bats to get into a groove

but he is never going to get regular at bats if he keeps hitting like crap in his limited opportunities. As much as I am a fan of his and want him to succeed, I just can't see him doing it.

This might be a dumb time

to bring this up, considering how good our starting pitching has been, and how well Chris-John is doing in the 'pen, but I still think it's a huge waste of talent not letting CJ start.

too much stuff on the screen as it is

but when there are as many close calls as this, I'd like to see them use it more often... even thought it isn't "official", it gives you a better idea of where the ump is seeing the pitches... and you can see how consistent or inconsitent an ump is

As bad of a loss as I have ever seen.

Nothing has changed with this team. Fuck it all.

I don't see this

as a bad loss. All you can hope for is to be in a position to win, and they were today. Bad losses to me are games like the home opener - there were a lot of those last year.

by Randy Richardson on Apr 13, 2008 5:52 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

no.

...this is a bad loss. you had three leads in this game... and still lost.

german and nippert... this falls on them.

this was a must win.

Man on 3rd, less than two outs.

How many years do we have to say it...

If you can get him home, get the fuck off the team. Man on 3rd with nobody out should be a garunteed run.

This team

will always be a loser.

Losers find a way to lose, and thats your Texas Rangers.

5-7

that one hurts... LAnaheim Angles comin' up. RISP hitting has to improve or this is gonna be a long season... again.

It's funny

We all thought our pitching would be what held us back this season... the pitching has been fine, but the offense reeks.

I just...

have to sit here and laugh at how much I hate everything to do with baseball at the moment.

I love the Rangers?

Regardless, it's obvious they just like kicking me in the nuts.

Yup

We have such a horrible team. Good players... bad team.

See you in a week

After the round of expletives that just came out of my mouth, I've been grounded Rangers baseball for a week. At least the kids were outside. See y'all next Sunday.

I'm opposite

When I get this upset at my teams I generally just have nothing to say at all.

Well

We can send Feldman down now, and call up a fresh arm at least.

by lonestarJon on Apr 13, 2008 5:52 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

True dat

Perhaps two roster moves coming?

...it's the weekend, so why the hell not?

by Rodney on Apr 13, 2008 5:52 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

maybe

I wouldn't be surprised if they put Wright on the DL and send Feldman down and then called up Littleton and Francisco.

Right

Not many more moves than that, except to DFA someone, right?

...it's the weekend, so why the hell not?

by Rodney on Apr 13, 2008 5:58 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

yeah

although I'm not sure how long there leash is going to be with German, The knock on the guy is that he can't throw strikes, and he obviously still can't throw strikes.

by Randy Richardson on Apr 13, 2008 6:06 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Kindof

we will proably call up Wes or FF when Feldman gets send down.

lost weekend

what an incredibly disappointing weekend. I made it a point to watch all three games. Our situational hitting is horrible, and I constantly have the feeling that Wash is in over his head.
