by coolaid on Apr 17, 2008 8:47 PM CDT up reply actions

True, but

typically when the Rangers face quality pitching, they need their pitcher to pitch his ass off to keep the team in the game. I don’t know that Mendoza… hell…. I’m pretty damn sure Mendoza isn’t ready to do that yet against a very potent Boston lineup. Mendoza, please prove me wrong.

by hightowersmith on Apr 17, 2008 10:14 PM CDT reply actions

Por que?

Slim because he won’t keep this up, slim because no one will want him cause of his spotty track record, or slim because we’ll hang on to him cause he’s good enough to be an important piece of our future?

Vicente

The third reason, yeah, but even more a factor is that last contract year. He’s not the echelon of pitcher for that extra term to be a good thing.

This time next year if he’s keeping it up, much better commodity. Which is another reason he stays.

I guess Millwood’s looking like he’ll hit his incentive for that last contract year, too.

Go Strangers.

The Padilla Flotilla Rocks!!

Pretty fucking good not to mention timely win tonight.

Lots of frosting seeing “The Secret Weapon’s ” ass stapled to the bench while Botts (nursing an 0 for 4) played all 9 innings and put the last out in his pocket.

If these boys can pull 4 wins on this roadie, it’s going to be a good trip and with 7 games left they are halfway home.
