let’s be nice to the Electrician!
That David Eckstein is soooo cheap when he was with the Angels he would go to the library to use the computer because he didn't want to buy one for himself.
How many Rangers does it take to change a lightbulb?
Just one. The Electrician.
Lame?
Yes.
True?
Also, yes.

not bad at all. Had to put the gate on the dog door, because hail was blowing in, but otherwise just small hail and 10 mins. of hard rain.

Can't believe
that he hasn’t tied together Rios from the Jays and Rio from Duran Duran. I still have hope.

Was Wright not good for most of the year last year?

he was better in the second half.

Once he hit the bullpen, he was okay
He’s not a fulltime starter anymore.

I would hope so, he didnt throw many pitches last night.
The Texas Rangers rounded the bases at a dizzying pace
He only threw 9 pitches last night
He should be fresh, even though it’s going to be his 3rd straight appearance.

Nice hit by Laird
But not so nice baserunning.
I think Laird maybe needs some work in the slide pits?

Put this one to bed early tonight.

Both Padilla and Halladay
Have given their teams just what they needed: innings. Excellent pitching.

ALRIGHT!!!
And we head into Boston feeling good.
I think that was the best-played game we’ve had so far.
Checked ahead on ESPN
Mendoza/Matsuzaka Friday, Jennings/Lester Saturday, Millwood/Wakefield Sunday, Gabbard/Buchholz Monday
so...
bad matchup; hideous matchup; good matchup; pretty even matchup.

True, but
typically when the Rangers face quality pitching, they need their pitcher to pitch his ass off to keep the team in the game. I don’t know that Mendoza… hell…. I’m pretty damn sure Mendoza isn’t ready to do that yet against a very potent Boston lineup. Mendoza, please prove me wrong.

Well, Mendoza faced Halladay last time, and did pretty well
But that was the Blue Jays offense, not Boston.
His WHIP
was astronomical. He didn’t have a quality start. In short, he was fortunate not to get blasted. I really hope that he steps up tomorrow.

it'd be nice if Mendoza took a look at Galarraga's line
and decided to one-up him

Damn good job Padilla. Nice win! I’m feeling a bit better. That’s two wins in a row. So what if Bottsy didn’t get a hit. He still needs to play every damn day
Kinsler and Murphy are on fire. Cat with the rbi and Murphy w/rbi and Laird w/2 rbi’s
wtg Rangers. Hello win column!

Watching the Stars
hopefully we can hold on to win both
And with the 22nd overall selection the Dallas Cowboys select Jonathan Stewart.
So is now a good time
to trade Padilla. You know, sense the Rangers were so stupid to sign him because pitching is so easy to get in Texas.

jesus, i came within a foot of hitting a side rail when my car hydroplaned merging onto 30E in the middle of a sudden downpour.. it felt like I was on ice. followed by 3 cars coming within a foot of me before I could get back up to speed and on track.
at least the rangers won. woot.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
Glad you are okay

What’re the odds he gets dealt at the deadline?
I’m thinking, actually, pretty slim.

Por que?
Slim because he won’t keep this up, slim because no one will want him cause of his spotty track record, or slim because we’ll hang on to him cause he’s good enough to be an important piece of our future?

The third reason, yeah, but even more a factor is that last contract year. He’s not the echelon of pitcher for that extra term to be a good thing.
This time next year if he’s keeping it up, much better commodity. Which is another reason he stays.
I guess Millwood’s looking like he’ll hit his incentive for that last contract year, too.

The Padilla Flotilla Rocks!!
Pretty fucking good not to mention timely win tonight.
Lots of frosting seeing “The Secret Weapon’s ” ass stapled to the bench while Botts (nursing an 0 for 4) played all 9 innings and put the last out in his pocket.
If these boys can pull 4 wins on this roadie, it’s going to be a good trip and with 7 games left they are halfway home.
