"He'll be better next time he gets the ball"
Ron Washington says after Fukumori gives up 2 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and a couple of wild pitches in a third of an inning.
Well that's comforting!
The Rally Turtle Army still lives
...so all is still well. I guess.
Here's for the Game Day thread ending at page 4, unless we get like 20 runs in this inning.
Blernsball Fever: Contract it!
I saw your rally turtle army...
That was great.

Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
The Rally Turtle Army...
is clashing with my turtlehead...but yet I can't leave the TV.
I'd love for part of the "new look" to be a return to the red uniforms of the 1990s. - Ian Kinsler

Definitely get a "come get in my van and help me find my lost puppy" vibe with that mustache...
If we win....
you might have to change your nick. :)

I vividly remember
that Vazquez homer off of him - great game.

Didn't Kinsler take him deep in early April last season?
I know Kinsler had a monster series against them in Seattle, just not sure if Putz was who he took deep or not.
I think that was
Katt and his greatness.

Can MY play 3b???
ss - andus
3b - young
dh - blalock
you know what
i'm done with this game. 8.5 great innings of basebal from teh rangers. that's how i choose to remember this game. goodnight
You know what?
I'm really way more stressed, and nervous, and generally worked up over the second game of the season than I should be.
Me too!
I was just thinking that...I'm wondering if it has to do with me reading lookoutlanding a lot and wanting to beat them for being so smarmy earlier today.
Or it could just be that I'm putting off neuroscience studying...

I wish
I could be confident in CJ but with the way tonite and yesterday went im starting to assume the worst is ahead. DShep do we have turtles or something for the Pitchers?

Hamilton's blast
will surely instill some confidence in the rest of the Rangers. Now they know somebody has their back!
On behalf of me and everyone else who ran away after the Laird PB
...Please forgive my transgressions, oh great Hambino. I know not what I've done.

i dont know about all time
but recently it has to be billy wagner i would think
I have a feeling
that Jennings may be awesome for us this year.

Finally
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
My girlfriend was following along on gameday...
and her reaction after the game:
"that suzuki guy should go back to making cars "
Troy I.
lol...
She has no idea how funny that really is either...
But yes... it's pretty great to have a g/f interested enough to be staying up and watching the gameday feed, even if she doesn't understand everything going on... She knows how badly I want them to win, and because CJ was coming in, she was pretty excited.
Troy I.
i can't remember the last time i felt good about sports
cowboys detroit game? not nearly as good. before that, who knows.
Hamilton's WARP is officially 1
And with the 22nd overall selection the Dallas Cowboys select Jonathan Stewart.
Seriously
How can you go sleep after that? I'm gonna need at least 30 minutes to unwind from this one.
under the circumstances....
its almost as good as that Cowboys @ Bills MNF game... I couldn't sleep for an hour and a half after that.
Troy I.
That last hour was an emotional rollercoaster
But it was worth the ride. Games like that are why sports fans exist.
A friend of mine had said he might be able to get me tickets for either saturday or sunday
But he hasn't gotten back to me on that, so I'm not sure... I sure hope I can, though.
Good job, LSB.
I'd say 3% of this victory can be directly correlated to LSB's involvement. We get 0.03 win share.
LSB 2.0 confuses and scares me.

Did Hamilton inadvertantly give himself a nickname
in that interview?
Josh 'Garlic Bread' Hamilton..!!
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Eat me...
Mariners fans. I'm sure they were laughing their asses off after taking the lead.
But we have Hamslam and you don't.
Damn our infield defense needs some work. Wash better be chewing out MY, Ian, BB, and OMFT. They tried to give that game away.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
to be fair
these guys were playing with the friggin' flu. They had to be out there b/c we don't have any middle infield back-ups besides Vazquez. Could you do that with the flu?
They had a lousy game, but cut 'em some slack on this one, is all I'm sayin'...
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
I know...
watching that 8th inning was just painful.
MY is what he is at SS, not great but should make the routine plays.
I think Ian will be fine.
BB is not a very good 1B though.
And I'm tired of these 'wild pitches". Laird should have blocked 2 of the 3, including the one tonight. I mean it did hit off the rolls on his right side. His lazy ass needs to get in front off the ball. At least keep it from going all the way to the backstop.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
Lookoutlanding
as a general rule is pretty classless. Jeff seems like a good guy, but Jesus there are some grade A assholes there.
well its just a different environment
im sure various people here would say the smae kind of stuff if that was the accepted attitude.
although i do resent them for their kinsler hate.
Come on
"Hamilton is a five tool player, one of those tools happens to be syringe."
I think while we have some people, myself included, that crosses the line sometimes when it comes to other posters, I don't think we've ever had anyone say something to that degree about a player with a very dangerous and very well publicized problem
just saying in general like the people cursing.
certain people definitely go over the line. just dont want to imply the entire blog is full of bad people or something.
for the record, I certainly much prefer the atmosphere over here.

really?
someone made a stealing joke about milton bradley here. someone else was happy that escobar was out for the year. miles, hurlerhurley will say just about anything.
Eh
I can understand the Escobar thing. There's a difference between being glad because the team in question lost a valuable piece and taking pleasure in someone's suffering because you're an asshole. There's quite a difference between those two things.
Miles will say a lot of idiotic things, but there isn't encouragement for him to do so here. Just browse through it, there's quite a difference. Though, I will say I still like LLanding better than the estrogen pool that is Athletics Nation.
Meh...
just went over there for the first time and read some of that stuff. Every other word they post is fuck. Then they have some guy post here about our pathetic sense of humor when cm says "dicksex" should be Sexon's nickname.
That board is far more vulgar than here. I probably curse just as much as anyone here, but they do it in every post (well at least when hey lose a close game). I understand being upset that you lost, but the Hamilton shit is pathetic.
The only good thing I could say about Lookout Landing is it's not as bad as
Halos Heaven, and that's not saying much.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
The amazing thing about that Hamilton comment
Is it was posted by "Gomez" one of the site managers over there.
Here take a look.

concur
You can't compare the evil nasty vular language that goes on over there to the tone at LSB.
It's a whole differant beast.

exactly!
They are super mean spirited and nasty over there. There is no comparison with LSB.

tomorrow
first game ill get to watch from pitch 1. and for the first time im not scared of the opposing pitcher.
greatly anticipating it.
someone buy me a capture card and ill do it =p
i wouldnt expect many regular season games to be on sopcast.
the lower quality mlb.tv is still decent quality and not all that expensive though.
so new gameday
allows you to see video highlights of plays almost immediately after it happens. guess which play I'm watching. over and over and over...
thats very cool
now if only i could find the highlights from 2004-2005 they used to have up there.... i never know when the urge to watch the dellucci double will strike.
