Hicks & Ryan have meeting per Rosenthal?

I was listening to the Ticket yesterday afternoon and Rhyner was just railing on the Rangers and how bad theyve been this past week.  They were talking about Washington's job security and the possibility that he would be the first MLB manager fired this year.

Then somebody mentioned that there was a report out there by Ken Rosenthal that Hicks had a meeting over the weekend with Nolan, JD, and Ron Washington and told them that things needed to improve drastically or changes would be made. Ive looked online and been unable to find any hard reference to this from Rosenthal.  Did anyone else hear this?

Maybe Ryan told Hicks...

...that in all his years in professional baseball he has never encountered a manager less prepared to either build a team or lead a team or manage a team.

Right around the time all the young talent is ready to contend is when the organization will realize that Ron Washington is the wrong man for the job.

Ugh

Rosenthal has become some sort of pseudo-celebrity on this board.

It’s like his every keystroke needs to be tracked punctiliously.

Just curious

But how soon is Hicks going to expect better performance from the team?

Hicks

He’s at Anfield today watching Liverpool-Chelsea, despite the Liverpool police warning him not to attend.

Liverpool just took a 1-0 lead right before halftime!

So....

How big of a crotch kick is it that Liverpool choked? They dominated the game. Chelsea had a few chances but Liverpool had more. Own goals are always fun.

Yep

That was a massive crotch kick. I really thought Liverpool played well today, but now they’ve got to get at least a two-score draw, if not a win, at Stamford Bridge, or get a 1-1 draw and hope they can win on penalties.

It won’t be easy, but I never count out my Reds in Europe!
