Pitching moves
T.R. Sullivan has the latest on some moves.
Jason Jennings is starting today instead of Scott Feldman. Feldman is up, but in the bullpen. Kaz Fukumori has been called up. Kason Gabbard has been put on the d.l., and Wes Littleton has been sent down.

feldman
i guess this is in keeping with my call for more long men in the bullpen. but looking at those moves, today coudl be pretty ugly. jennings/feldman/fukumori all almost guaranteed to pitch

Perhaps
Feldman could start Saturday in the extremely unlikely event he is not needed today?
...and curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid git.

FF threw 52 pitches? That seems like a ton for him. 2 BB in 2.1 and 2 H isn’t horrible so how did he throw 52 pitches?
What happened to my old signature?
In case anybody was wondering ...
We scored 41 against Baltimore in that 2007 3-game series. So, we’re talking 13 runs allowed today to top it.

I don’t recall you offering much of a take on Fukumori.
What are/were your thoughts?

Fuku...
is horrible. Wes looked pretty bad yesterday but watching Fuku pitch again today showed me nothing. The move was only made for a fresh (shitty) arm. Fuku should be sent back down in a week.

The Fukumori move
Has blown up in the Rangers face in a big way. He’s like an imported Japanese sports car: it’s trendy, and has a reputation for quality, but it doesn’t really have the horsepower to compete with the big boys.
We should have know a guy who was really only slightly above average in Japan was not going to be anything special here in the US – I think we all overrated Fuku from the start (fans and front office).
overrated?
I didn’t think much of that signing, but it’s a bit early to write him off.
...and curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid git.
I'm not saying write him off
But I think we all need to realize he’s not some guy who can pitch in the late innings. He’s gonna be a mid-reliever, 7th inning man at best.
Did anyone
really expect him to be more than that?
