Ever hear the routine about Harry Caray doing the first baseball game?
The one where Satan got optioned to the AAA club after hsi ERA ballooned to a healthy 6.66 and Jesus had earlier hit a bases-empty grand slam…
Comedians name...
is Dan St. Paul. That is a great bit.

A moment of silence for the dead Broussard

Brian Bohanon?

So does anybody else
Ever get the feeling of losing so much, that it almost feels good to lose. Its a pretty disturbing feeling.

it's just sad to see people
play with no passion and only for money that they did not earn.
MY got 90MM on 25lbs of muscle he gained one summer, you can write that down and send a letter to him…
just got ownaged
I preface this by saying
that I really like Young, but his contributions to the Rangers problems give him zero moral authority to tell the other guys to get their acts together. Very disappointing.

it's very obvious
the 25 best players that are in the Rangers organization and that can help this team right now are not on the major league club.

Hamilton meet Botts, Botts meet Hamilton
Now y’all talk about who is going to catch that one.
Stars in a Texas Night Sky, a Dallas Stars blog from a fan's perspective.
thank god Botts
didn’t take a good angle or else he and Hamilton would probably both be gone for the year

I'd be upset...
if a team of any level played like this.
Stars in a Texas Night Sky, a Dallas Stars blog from a fan's perspective.
It's a lot like the defense of the local high school team here
I cover sports for a small twice-weekly paper… I’ve seen many defensive blunders. Oddly enough, they can still make the playoffs.
At this point
The awkwardness level inside the clubhouse after games has to be so high that half the team just hits the parking lot strait from the field. No clothes, no postgame spread, just flooring it home to get drunk.
+ 1 with a big fat J in the car waiting..

My neighbor is watching "The Longest Day"
I can hear the theme song drifting in my window… that kinda seems fitting for this game…

Can Nolan Ryan just go down into the dugout right now and fire Washington midgame?

surprised there was anyone there in the first place

We asked ourselves this at around the same point last year
But the question comes up again.
Are we the worst team in major league baseball?
right now?
HELL to the YES

How is this game
any different than any from last week?

I hate how much I care about the Rangers…they are such a joke and for some reason I still continue to watch every single game they play and take each loss harder and harder
It's called being a Rangers fan...
I’ve always thought you had to be somewhat masochistic to be a Rangers fan.

Remember that time
When Sydney Ponson was pitching and the Rangers were ahead by three runs?
That was great.
I just don't understand
how our pitching can be this much worse than every other team in baseball! It is mind boggling
Our pitching...
has thrown almost 2 games today with all the extra outs they’ve had to get.

Ian? At SS?
He has enough trouble concentrating at second. Naw, Andrus will be here before too long. Just gotta find someone to replace Young short term.
Use a 5 man infield, and put Hamilton and Murphy in the outfield
Cat doesn’t give you any extra range anyway
One thing you're forgetting
they can’t even field balls that are hit directly at them.

Confession:
I was actually giggling while I was over perusing the FAIL blog.
I’m feeling a little better now that I’ve remembered not to expect too much of this team.
Well, Salty with 2 K's, 2 BB's and a hit

Wash is toast
I wouldn’t be shocked if he was given his pink slip tonite… by Monday morning for certain.

when i get really depressed about the Rangers
I just go to all their minor league affiliate sites and it always cheers me up

but if we can just stay patient I really do think we will see something special in Arlington in about 2 years

This little fact...
The Rangers have held the lead at some point in eight of their last nine games, but have won just one.
Is that not enough to make you want to castrate yourself with a dull knife. I’ve had it with this teams shitty lazy ass defense, among other things. The defense though is by far the biggest concern to me right now.

IM SICK OF IT
im sick of it.
im sick of it.
im sick of it.
dfa broussard.
dfa botts.
dfa vazquez.
bring up shelton.
bring up some random people.
play salty everyday.
fire ron washington. i like ya a lot wash, but you are fired.
fire mark connor. i dont like you, go away.
3 more errors, 3 other balls that hit fielders gloves before dirt, more bad ss play.
oh and the ballpark security needs to lay off.
some fans having a good time spend 5 minutes trying to get the wave started (which did happen, to the sections delight) and a minute later some security officer comes and yells at them for standing up. its a ballgame that requires prompts to get anyone to make any noise, let them do what they want.
not to mention some security officer comes running yelling at me for walking one foot to the right of some taped off aisle where the tape had fallen to the ground as if I was on sacred earth.
i spend 120 on tickets + food, get another terrible ballgame and hassled by security.
fire people. ballplayers, managers, coachers, security guards, the whole lot.
replace them with turtles and salty.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
hahaha
DShep has gone off the Ranger deep end. I don’t blame ya they got it ALL WRONG from the field to the stands.

Josh Hamilton: your AL leader in RBIs, ladies and gents...
He is the one thing about this team that doesn’t ever suck.
Sorry you had to be there for that game Shep – if it was tough on me all the way out in Cali, I know it must have been brutal to see it in person.
I would like to feel bad for you
But you knew what you were getting into when you left the house. Anybody who spends one dime on that mess out there is a sucker.

Disagree...
I wish I could go spend money to see this team play. Suck or not, I’m still a diehard for the Rangers.

I thought I was too
But I guess I’m not anymore. I just can’t see spending money and time on a product that is this bad. It’s like still going to your favorite restaurant if they started serving bad food. Worse yet, the owner tells you that he will only improve the quality of the food once more people show up.

I do too
But damn, games like this take a lot out of you, especially after they got me all emotionally invested again last night.
But I still love this team. They’re like a dysfunctional alcholic spouse right now, but for some reason, I keep up hope that one day, they’ll clean up their act.
***HOT NEWS FLASH***
I’ve been a Ranger fan for 20 years and guess what? The dysfunctional alcholic abused spouse has been exactly that for pretty much the whole time and beyond. Thankfully I have good
strong nerves but you younger guys have no idea what long term Ranger fans have been through.
You have to have a sense of humor and zero expectations to follow this team because it’s the same song and dance every spring- the optimism quickly fades to despair but usually not quite as quickly as it has the last 2 years. At this point the dysfuntional alcoholic abused spouse has been beatdown sooo many times she’s old and gray, missing teeth, has a pot belly, and has halitosis.
Pretty huh?
