Ever hear the routine about Harry Caray doing the first baseball game?

It's a lot like the defense of the local high school team here

I cover sports for a small twice-weekly paper… I’ve seen many defensive blunders. Oddly enough, they can still make the playoffs.

by Inkara1 on Apr 26, 2008 9:58 PM CDT up reply actions

At this point

The awkwardness level inside the clubhouse after games has to be so high that half the team just hits the parking lot strait from the field. No clothes, no postgame spread, just flooring it home to get drunk.

fire mark connor. i dont like you, go away.

3 more errors, 3 other balls that hit fielders gloves before dirt, more bad ss play.

oh and the ballpark security needs to lay off.
some fans having a good time spend 5 minutes trying to get the wave started (which did happen, to the sections delight) and a minute later some security officer comes and yells at them for standing up. its a ballgame that requires prompts to get anyone to make any noise, let them do what they want.

not to mention some security officer comes running yelling at me for walking one foot to the right of some taped off aisle where the tape had fallen to the ground as if I was on sacred earth.

i spend 120 on tickets + food, get another terrible ballgame and hassled by security.

fire people. ballplayers, managers, coachers, security guards, the whole lot.

replace them with turtles and salty.

***HOT NEWS FLASH***

I’ve been a Ranger fan for 20 years and guess what? The dysfunctional alcholic abused spouse has been exactly that for pretty much the whole time and beyond. Thankfully I have good
strong nerves but you younger guys have no idea what long term Ranger fans have been through.
You have to have a sense of humor and zero expectations to follow this team because it’s the same song and dance every spring- the optimism quickly fades to despair but usually not quite as quickly as it has the last 2 years. At this point the dysfuntional alcoholic abused spouse has been beatdown sooo many times she’s old and gray, missing teeth, has a pot belly, and has halitosis.
Pretty huh?
