now where were we?
oh yeh, Gerry SUCKS!
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
he had a quality hit today
it just found a glove. he looked totally lost against LHP though, we're gonna need some1 who can come of the bench and pound lefties
.500 or bust!
that HR
last year when the other team (can't remember who) put the wheel play on was greatness.

I think I will go to bed
It worked last night when I said that.

Wright
I think this is a great role for him - he's going to keep the Rangers in games this year

how many times am i gonna say
man, that ball dropped in last year when Roy Hobbs makes a running catch
.500 or bust!
BenBrus hits righties Ok though
no clue why theyd have put a righty in instead of a lefty, but hey thats not my team.
.500 or bust!
adam
not trying to be a dick but legit question: would you have pinch hit laird there? I'd be worried about no backup catcher but that was a really really big spot and laird is what he is so far.
man
young please get on base in front of hamilton. I would just like to give him a chance for an RBI. actually, I just want to see him period
Well, he was 3-3 opening day
And then he caught this flu bug. Not making excuses, but he has at least had one decent game so far.
the wrong Dallas team won tonight.
as a die hard Golden State fan this was a really huge loss for the team.
Back to Back
Spurs last night, Mavs back against the wall... I'm pretty sure Nellie knew this was a loss.
x
This was just the third time all year the W's have lost two consecutive games.
Spirits are low in Warriors-land. We don't have any tie breakers with anyone, our bench has been awful this year and fatigue to the Big Three is a huge concern. We don't have the same vibes as a year ago :(
I would rather see
Rupe or Nippert get an inning of work

Totally missed the new thread link...

wasn't it quiet
for the last 15 minutes?

I know someone who would like that on another blog
Stars in a Texas Night Sky, a Dallas Stars blog from a fan's perspective.
Well, he's not due to pitch till Saturday
So I suppose he could save this game, and still make his next start...
That a way Hamilton...
Gotta have runners right now

reply was not to you
what i meant to say to you was you are absolutely right. once these teams face real teams, they will realize how bad they are
Blalock bunt was worth a try...
I wish more players would do it when they've got the shift against them.
Stars in a Texas Night Sky, a Dallas Stars blog from a fan's perspective.
That looked close...
I think the ump was just ready to go home.

No
Just a lameass bottom of the order. Murphy is the only guy worth a crap beyond the #5 slot.
Like the new sig, BTW.
Meh
Broussard is a decent player, if he's platooned. So is Cat most days. If we somehow get 2006 Laird, that'd be a huge deal for the offense.
The biggest hole the first three games was at SS, offensively and defensively. I wish Frisco streamed their games too.
oh thanks Jonny...
I'm with you on Laird especially, that boy kills more rallies.
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
oh well,
at least we witnessed Broussard's beastly potential

When singles hitters aren't hitting any singles
They aren't any good. I'm kinda getting tired of Cat
I'd put Cat
in the 9 spot, like a second leadoff hitter
by Randy Richardson on Apr 2, 2008 11:39 PM CDT up reply actions
That'd be a pretty good idea
actually, since I think Broussard/Botts platoon would be more effective in the 5 spot.
Ideally, our lineup looks like
Kinsler
Young
Hamilton
Bradley
Blalock
Broussard/Botts
Salty
Murphy
Cat
That'd be pretty effective.
I still think
you trade cat for a bucket of chicken if the season gets out of hand. im still surprised they didnt last season except he was so hurt the whole season
.500 or bust!
Concur
but lose Broussard altogether.

Would rather see...
Botts get consistent AB's from both sides of the plate.
I know BB could be a decent platoon guy against RHP, but I just don't see the point in it. He doesn't factor into the future of this team. I know I'm in the minority here, but I still think Botts has a shot to hit ML pitching given the chance. Just my opinion.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
The point is
if he performs well, you can get something for him. Like Absdrubal Cabrera. I'm not sure Botts' relative upside at this point is worth that.
yeah im agreeing with M3
Cat and Laid and BenBrus gotta play and get a chance to perform for the first couple months of the season to show some trade value. they really are the last pieces to sell in the rebuild. Well if wright and everyday eddie do well them too.
.500 or bust!
Bad Vibes Kill Rallies!
I agree with that...
for Cat and Laird but not Broussard.
I don't think he will have much or any trade value even by the ASB.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
i bet laird will decrease his value
right now you could still try to say that 2006 was real and 2007 was just a bad year and that laird is a good defensive catcher with offensive potential.
2 months from now there will be no question that laird can absolutely not hit.
That is what appears to be happening already
I hope he either turns it around quickly, and regains his value, or he sucks so bad the y call Salty up.
But I don't want to see Laird langushing us with mediocrity. One extreme end of the scale or the other, please.
Meh...
shitty game. How could they not get more than 3 hits off of Silva and Co.?
Oh well, it happens. Anaheim here we come.

yeh
I'm sure Detroit fans are saying the same thing

them are the breaks
Bradley, Hamilton, among others hit some screamers. It's just baseball and the miracle of small sample size.
Big Daddy Vladdy cannot wait to meet..
Gabby. Not to mention Torri Huner, GMJ and a few other beasts. uggg I hope we don't get swept in anaheim.
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
Vlad...
is the only bat the Halos have that scares me. He always destroys the Rangers.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
They have to find a place to play him first...
with GMJ, Hunter, Vlad, and Anderson I don't think he starts but maybe 1 game.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
uggg I forgot about Anderson..
Bombs away!
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
Gabby hasn't been too sharp lately...
it could get REAL ugly that first game.
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
he has his moments..
lets hope his moments don't come against us.
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
or that he doesn't yank any of our home runs..
back into the park.
That boy Whiffy's swing has more holes in it than Amy Winehouse's arm.
Not sure...
I think Anderson was the DH today. I would much rather have GMJ in the OF over GA.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
Actually, they have a rotating DH
Between GMJ, Vlad, Anderson, and occasionally Rivera. Willits too, if they haven't sent him to AAA.
But from what I hear, GMJ is supposed to get most of the AB's at DH.
I don't think we'll get swept
After all, it's gonna be Gabbard vs. Mosely in the first game. That sounds like a good game for one of those 12-11 slugouts.
But then it's Millwood/Weaver, and Padilla/Garland, so those could be some tough games...
