i realize i’m criticizing him based on something that is totally a hindsight 20/20 call but still, these are the obvious moves and he’s not doing it. when someone is pitching well and their pitch count is up, leave them in a bit. if they are pitching poorly and their pitch count is up, yank them. how hard is that

is watching young pitchers leave and get over the hump somewhere else. Makes it look more and more like these guys aren’t really borderline players like some say, but that Texas doesn’t have the mentoring to get the most out of these guys.
