I have figured out what his weakness is
He goes after too many bad pitches up and away. Three pop flys to the left side of the diamond if I'm counting right. He needs to lay off the stuff up and away.

on this board?
of course...
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Just got home from Austin
and looks like last night was another pitching gem and that Brou is pretty good and the Padilla Flotilla is doing its thing again. And Mike Young's contract extension still hasn't started, yay!
Excellent.
the truth.
nice
they were down by 10 when i last checked
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
It was incredible comeback
Add to that the great game by the Stars, the Rangers keep this up......

Hate to break it to you
but it was pretty good. Nothing truly special but some clutch shots by Dirk and some energy by the team that I haven't seen in a while.
sick pitch there
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
was a change
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
Vlad going hitless against the Rangers?
could this be for real?
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
First Time?
I know that we officially broke Vlad's streak against us during Buck's last year, however that was done cheaply with walks. IMO, this is the first time we've actually shut the dude down.
man
that change up is really working today
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
Hey....
nice to see some Rangers fans from BTB.

Heya Brandon!
PacMan fever seems to have hit a temporary lull; there's been little to no action over the past week :(. We can only look at so many mocks before we memorize the complete resume of every projected first round talent.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia: The Man, the Myth; The Alphabet.
Nice inning
by Benoit.
I really like what I'm seeing from this pitching staff (well, minus Nippert) in the first 6 games.
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

BGL warmin' up in the pen
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Evan Grant
In 20 DH starts in his career, he's now hitting .425 with a .479 on-base percentage.
We should use him more as a DH since his defense already sucks.
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
that MY btw
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
Isn't that the second time
that Cat got a little grounder like that down the 1B line and the 1B underhand tossed it to the pitcher to get him out?
thats our 2nd steal of the year
i think
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
they're pitching to BB
this time.

BB
back under a .200 average and under a .230 obp yet at the same time proving all doubters unquestionably wrong =)
He's a classic
bottom of the lineup guy. A good short-term solution. Once he gets a couple of singles and some bloops, he'll be worth something at the deadline.
My bracket get effed up
yesterday. UCLA and UNC both lost.
and Laird rocks another one

" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
or maybe Nippert
i kidd
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
Nippert time!
Blernsball Fever: Contract it!
The kind of mustache that says
"Yeah, I've been nude on camera, what of it?"

Hey CJ
Throw the gyro (not the burrito sandwich thingee)!
It's baseball. You don't always get what you want, and you don't always want what you get. --Ed Coffin
he says he throws it every 23-26 pitches
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
I think CJ has shelved the gyro
and half his other pitches in the interest of pitch economy.
its sad, the gyro was nice.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
no baserunner
since the 5th inning.
suprising
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
Nice start to the season.
To split on this particular road trip is a sign of good things to come.
+1
This game, especially was solid in every way.

especially
against teams we are trying to overtake in our division.
" Winning doesn't always mean being first,
winning means you are doing better than you have done before"
Ballgame
2 out of 3 in Ananheim and 3-3 for the road trip
4 QS for starting pitching
I'll take that
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Congrats ladies and gentleman,
Another successful day. DShep, see you Tuesday. I'll have some more pics for then :D
The Angels must be starting to fear us
If I'm not mistaken, we've now won 8 of the last 9 against them.
I like the sound of that
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
A's lose to Cleveland
Rangers alone in 2nd place and their the only team in the division yet to play at home.
by Randy Richardson on Apr 6, 2008 5:47 PM CDT reply actions
if LAAA loses tomorrow
then the rangers will have the head to head advantage and be in first place with the first pitch.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
