I have figured out what his weakness is
He goes after too many bad pitches up and away. Three pop flys to the left side of the diamond if I'm counting right. He needs to lay off the stuff up and away.

Just got home from Austin
and looks like last night was another pitching gem and that Brou is pretty good and the Padilla Flotilla is doing its thing again. And Mike Young's contract extension still hasn't started, yay!
Excellent.
the truth.

Hate to break it to you
but it was pretty good. Nothing truly special but some clutch shots by Dirk and some energy by the team that I haven't seen in a while.

Vlad going hitless against the Rangers?
could this be for real?
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

And Vlad got struck out
What a historically awful game for Vlad against the Angels.
by Gdawg1 on Apr 6, 2008 5:11 PM CDT 0 recs
First Time?
I know that we officially broke Vlad's streak against us during Buck's last year, however that was done cheaply with walks. IMO, this is the first time we've actually shut the dude down.
by rcreative on Apr 6, 2008 5:13 PM CDT 0 recs
I think so
I can't remember a game where he didn't at least get a walk from the Rangers.

Heya Brandon!
PacMan fever seems to have hit a temporary lull; there's been little to no action over the past week :(. We can only look at so many mocks before we memorize the complete resume of every projected first round talent.

I really like what I'm seeing from this pitching staff (well, minus Nippert) in the first 6 games.

Evan Grant
In 20 DH starts in his career, he's now hitting .425 with a .479 on-base percentage.
We should use him more as a DH since his defense already sucks.

Isn't that the second time
that Cat got a little grounder like that down the 1B line and the 1B underhand tossed it to the pitcher to get him out?

BB
back under a .200 average and under a .230 obp yet at the same time proving all doubters unquestionably wrong =)
by DSheppard on Apr 6, 2008 5:27 PM CDT 0 recs
He's a classic
bottom of the lineup guy. A good short-term solution. Once he gets a couple of singles and some bloops, he'll be worth something at the deadline.
