We will just win both games tomorrow and be in first place?

Just stay..
Its not like they can do anything to stop it.

Swap
them out for another home game this season.
The Texas Rangers rounded the bases at a dizzying pace
Dollar hot dogs for tomorrow
Is that going to be a doubleheader dollar dog deal for both games or just the first game? I might have to take off work early tomorrow.
Hell, I'm still lobbying Rangers management for a buy one beer, get one free night for season ticket holders :).

bums me out.
I was excited by the idea of Rangers baseball today.

so was I
I was watching a movie I had paused on DVR and I realized it was 7:45 and the Rangers were on...flipped to the Rangers, only to see bull riding, got pissed thinking they blacked out the game for some stupid reason, went back to the movie I was watching only to realize I had gone 30 minutes passed where I was and so now I had nothing to watch...AND I didn't get that opening day beatdown taste out of my mouth. Yes, I was there. Yes, it sucked.
bummer

TV?
Today's game was on FSNSW, tomorrows was scheduled for KDFI... so, anybody know how to set the DVR? Will early game be FSNSW and the late game on KDFI?
Actually, Mavs have been moved...
Mavs have been moved to TXA tomorrow I think, because teh Stars Playoff game is on FSNSW tomorrow at 9pm.

this sucks
i really didnt wanna go out tonight.
spurs/suns better be badass.
OT
Placido Polanco goes a record 186 games without commiting an error, then commits an error in consecutive games. Go figure.

kind of ironic
he gets chased in the 3rd, leaving the bases loaded. Massett comes in and allows all inherited runners to score.

That's unfortunate
But who cares? Danks is the White Sox problem now. If we're gonna watch and pine over a former Ranger prospect, can we at least do it over Volquez, who is a more recent departure?

Personally
I'm interested because we traded him, but I'm also interested because I like Danks and enjoyed watching him in Frisco and will probably always root for him.

Oh and
I watch and pine over Volquez too.

me too
I think Edinson takes the hill Friday. I will always follow Danks and Volquez. Of course Chris Young as well.
Oh, what he the hell, for old times sake... we should have never got rid of Chris Young :)

Rain in Kansas City
It's coming down hard there. Puddles in the infield but I guess they're going to try and push through to get an official game out of it.
Rangers
back in last place, percentage points behind SEA
by Randy Richardson on Apr 9, 2008 8:52 PM CDT reply actions
how do you figure
3 wins 4 losses > 3 wins 5 losses.
percentage points ahead, not behind.

All the storms are going north
On second thought, maybe they should have rode things out a while. Tornado on the ground in Denton County, but nothing is developing south like they thought it would...perhaps they could have gotten this game in...
Yea I went to the game
I think they jumped the gun a little in postponing it. The sun was actually out at the ballpark at start time and there never was any heavy rain just a light drizzle..
White Women!
Yeah...
the way it was looking, the showers were torrential, but very brief with long patches in between. I was thinking they'd be able to get this game in with a couple brief rain delays when the torrential stuff came. They definitely jumped the gun I thought, probably could have started the game about 15-20 minutes late and gotten it in fully.

Major storms building to the north and west
But there's no doubting at this point that the Rangers could have gotten this in.
When accounting for the lost ticket/parking/concession sales from the doubleheader, I have to imagine the front office is kicking themselves a bit right now.
Of course, hindsight is 20/20.
