THT Awards

Real life has kept me very busy lately, what with a new baby, a demanding two year old, and the new law firm that we kicked off on January 1.

The result is various things that I mean to talk about, or at least reference, fall through the cracks.

One of those things is that our friend John Barten has moved from Beyond the Box Score to The Hardball Times, and is now doing his weekly awards column over at their quite excellent site.

Is it weird that the thing I find the coolest about this post is the fact that I now have my own “tag” on LSB?

I owe Adam a lot and if we’re ever in the same town at the same time, he won’t have to worry about buying a single drink. He got me back into writing after being dormant for a couple of years and he was one of the people I went to when the possibility of a move to THT was presented to me. I’ve considered him a friend for 7 or 8 years now.

Ranger fans are lucky to have him.
