Metcalf or Duran...
will go back down.
Probably Metcalf because I don’t know if he’s healthy enough to be playing yet.

Metcalf
I agree. Duran is doing what needs to be done and he has not been hurt yet either. His bat is a little weak but I bet he comes around.

Duran...
I’ve been impressed with him. Pretty good D and has had some good swings at the plate, but wouldn’t mind him going down and playing everyday at OKC.

Doubled over after a pitch
Nobody’s quite sure what’s wrong, but Ron was laughing it up out there so it can’t be terribly serious.
just throwing
something on the follow through. you couldnt see anything immediately, but a few seconds after delivering he bent over and the trainers came out. one practice pitch and then he left.

better to leave after 2 lucky outs then after giving up 7 runs or whatever he did last time.

Former Rangers batting in inappropriate lineup spots:
Hairston – batting 2nd for the Reds
Dellucci – batting 3rd for the Indians
GMJ – he and his .297 OBP have been moved into the leadoff spot because Figgins is out of the lineup.
Wilkerson – batting 2nd for the Blue Jays
Mench – cleanup. Do you think Ricciardi is even bothering to watch?

well
that is the nature of these trades. maybe you can get multiple people, but you’re always going ot be trading for potential.
Rare Gnats Sex
I'm aware of that
but at some point you’ve got to stick with productive guys with experience who can help this team. Again, if a top notch pitching prospect can come over that is basically a can’t miss… fine, I’m for that. I don’t want to trade for more A or AA guys who are rated high, allegedly, in exchange for a productive MLB player, especially when we … hopefully…. have the guys in place in the system already who can step in and be the “future” everybody keep talking about.

This year?
Probably not unless the Rangers get blown away with an offer. Next year though, maybe – but Duran’s bat would have to show up and be big enough for 3B – which is a huge “if”. More like wishful thinking on my part, actually.
