The more he plays, the harder it is to imagine him getting sent down when Byrd’s back.

Metcalf or Duran...
will go back down.
Probably Metcalf because I don’t know if he’s healthy enough to be playing yet.

I agree. Duran is doing what needs to be done and he has not been hurt yet either. His bat is a little weak but I bet he comes around.

I’ve been impressed with him. Pretty good D and has had some good swings at the plate, but wouldn’t mind him going down and playing everyday at OKC.

I'm aware of that
but at some point you’ve got to stick with productive guys with experience who can help this team. Again, if a top notch pitching prospect can come over that is basically a can’t miss… fine, I’m for that. I don’t want to trade for more A or AA guys who are rated high, allegedly, in exchange for a productive MLB player, especially when we … hopefully…. have the guys in place in the system already who can step in and be the “future” everybody keep talking about.

Probably not unless the Rangers get blown away with an offer. Next year though, maybe – but Duran’s bat would have to show up and be big enough for 3B – which is a huge “if”. More like wishful thinking on my part, actually.

Former Ranger update:
This is a bad time, in the middle of a rally, but:
Eric Gagne took the loss against the Cardinals today, gave up 2 runs in a tie game in the 9th…
The 2006 Rangers… er, Blue Jays, that is, are down 12-0 to Cleveland… Wilkerson 0-4 with a K, Mench 1-4.
C’mon Murphy!
