Once you had him get up and warm up, in this situation, you might as well bring him in.
Your only other options, really, are German and Wright, both of whom pitched yesterday.
Getting a guy warmed up, then having him sit back down, isn’t really that much better than having him just come in and pitch.

You are either going to have runners at first and third with 2 out, or runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 out, and a 4 run lead.
In that situation, it doesn’t really make any difference.

I don’t believe he could have tagged the runner and a toss back to MY could have been risky. I agree with the rule to always get the out. Getting outs is way more valuable there than trying something risky.
