Once you had him get up and warm up, in this situation, you might as well bring him in.

You are either going to have runners at first and third with 2 out, or runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 out, and a 4 run lead.

In that situation, it doesn’t really make any difference.

If you think CJ should have done something else there......

you’re either crazy or you didn’t see the play.

I don’t believe he could have tagged the runner and a toss back to MY could have been risky. I agree with the rule to always get the out. Getting outs is way more valuable there than trying something risky.

We have a great shot..

to climb above .500 during this homestand. Unreal. I wouldn’t have bet a nickel on that happening this entire season when we were 9-18.

Hey, it could be worse...

Botts

I didn’t want to start a new diary and sorry if already posted, but Botts hit a moonshot tonight. Homered again.

I agree

he had his chance. Just thought it was interesting. And Byrd didn’t look very good to me. Arias had a chance to throw a guy out at 3rd from shallow right and he didn’t even try. Just jogged it in. I think the runner makes it no matter what, but I found it interesting he didn’t even attempt. And Kea, he stunk tonight

a few posts up complaining about letting CJ pitch?

but anyway… im a wash supporter and dont want him fired.. but i dont think he has anything to do with this run. dont think he had much to do with the bad run either.

Gerald Laird is my hero.

correct!

but i still wanted to fire him. in a rebuilding year, it doesn’t help to have a manager that nobody has confidence in
